Salary: £12.71 per hour (plus mileage and travel and waiting time where applicable)

What You'll Be Doing 

As a Care Support Worker, you'll provide high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each individual's needs. Your duties may include: 

• Providing personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, toileting and personal hygiene. 

• Supporting individuals with medication in line with training and care plans. 

• Assisting with mobility and using moving and handling equipment safely. 

• Preparing meals and supporting with eating and drinking. 

• Helping with light household duties, laundry and, where appropriate, caring for pets. 

• Providing companionship, emotional support and encouraging independence. 

• Supporting people to attend appointments, shopping trips and social activities. 

• Encouraging participation in community activities to reduce loneliness and promote wellbeing. 

• Monitoring health and wellbeing, reporting concerns promptly and following safeguarding procedures. 

• Following individual care plans, risk assessments and organisational policies. 

• Working flexibly, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the people we support. 

• Promoting dignity, respect, equality, confidentiality and person-centred care at all times.

What We're Looking For 

You'll be someone who is:

• A strong communicator with good interpersonal skills. 

• Comfortable using a smartphone for care records and communication. 

• Committed to completing the Care Certificate and mandatory training.

Essential Requirements 

• Full UK Driving Licence. 

• Access to your own vehicle. 

• Right to work in the UK. 

• Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory employment references.

Desirable 

• Previous experience working in health or social care. 

• Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
