My dad came out of hospital with PTSD after 3 months, everything had gotten worse for him. I was caring for my dad 24/7 due to his stress; I couldn't leave him. Carers Trust stepped up with so much help and time that enabled me to have 2hrs a day free, knowing they were there to help if needed and to calm him. They have a brilliant relationship with us both. I genuinely could not have got through these last months without them. They gave me time and space to recharge. Dad is doing fantastic now.

My wife has been fortunate to have used the centre each week for some time now but is now unable to leave the house. I was glad to be offered the home sitting service for two hours each week which enabled me to do my weekly shopping. The lady who attended was always friendly and helpful and such a great help with my arrangements. The help we received both at the centre and at home was second to none aand I will always be thankfull for your involvement with us. Good luck to you all for the future and thanks again Keith

Care workers look after my husband and give me much appreciated respite. The staff are friendly, kind, considerate, patient and understanding and attentive to his needs. They are always positive, amiable and helpful. The carers arrive promptly and any changes are always discussed well in advance. We have built up a good relationship with our carers. The support they provide means a lot to us.

My husband has had companionship from Carers Trust staff for over 2 years. We have regular support from one lady each week for 3 hours. This gives me time to go out if needed but more generally get myself organised for the coming week. This is so valuable for both of us. My husband had a big stroke and has limited expressive language. Our regular lady understands his needs and he is very comfortable with her. Replacement staff have always been provided & staff are professional and punctual (not for Bank Holiays) when needed. I am still struggling to understand the totality & flexibility of what CT can ofer so I many not be getting the most from the organisation. However I am very pleaesd with the support we receive. Thank you.

I have the home sitting service for 2 hours to sit with my wife who has dementia. The lady who comes is always prompt, polite and very understanding of my wifes needs. Highly recommended organisation.

Very grateful for the support both myself and husband receive from a wonderful,caring,patient and helpful lady.She is always pleasant, charming and most professional She is adept in any situation from encouraging my husband to walk and do his exercises to adjusting the TV remote.

My husband thoroughly enjoys his days at the 'club' they do games and he likes talking to the other people there. I know he is safe while attending and it helps me greatly too and gives me free time which is most appreciated.

We have a pleasant young lady comes on Thursday pm for 2 hours to care for Alan. He enjoys her visits and she looks after him well.

My mum really enjoys going out with her carer. Her carer is very good at taking my mum out and about in the community. This gives me a carers rest which I really appreciate. So we both also have a break from each other which supports our relationship. Mum receives 4hrs care for free which is fantastic because I know not all local authorities provide this care. Thank you for providing mum with a support worker that really makes my mum laugh.

The carer is very pleasant and interacts well with my father. If mum needs any help she is always helpful & willing.

We find nothing is too much for the carer supplied. She is very helpful and caring.

I was very happy to leave him in caring, capable hands. I was confident to leave him and so was able to go out and have some me time.

I have always found the centre to be welcoming to their clients. Staff display enthusiasm in accepting clients, nothing is too much trouble for them, making the few hours they are there an enjoyable experience. It's a pleasure to have my wife attend the centre because she enjoys going.

My mum, Joan attends day care twice a week and looks forward to it each time. I know she is well looked after and it gives me a break from caring for her (she lives with me) she has mixed dementia and all her needs are met with care and professionalism. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and I am more than happy with the service they provide for my mum.
