Care Assistant – Domiciliary Care

YourCare24 is looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Care Assistants to support people in their own homes across Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Worksop and surrounding areas.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping people remain safe, comfortable and independent within their own homes.

Key responsibilities:

1. Supporting individuals with personal care, washing, dressing and continence needs.

2. Assisting with medication in line with care plans and company procedures.

3. Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition and hydration.

4. Providing companionship and emotional support.

5. Supporting mobility, transfers and the safe use of equipment.

6. Assisting with shopping, appointments and community activities.

7. Completing accurate care records after each visit.

8. Reporting changes in a person’s health, wellbeing or circumstances.

9. Promoting dignity, choice, independence and person-centred care.

10. Following safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety procedures.

6. Willing to work flexible shifts, including some evenings and weekends.

Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided. Applicants with transferable experience from healthcare, support work, childcare or other people-focused roles are also encouraged to apply.

A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the community-based nature of the role.
