Job Summary
Position: Care Worker – Domiciliary Care – Available for Immediate Start
Hours: 07.00 – 14.00 and 14.00 – 19:00 hours.
Working Days: Monday to Friday and alternate weekends.
Pay Rate - £12.75 – £13.50
Overview of the position:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional, person-centred support to individuals in their own homes, helping to enhance their quality of life and maintain their independence.
Your empathy, professionalism, and practical skills will make a meaningful difference, ensuring our service user feels safe, comfortable, and well-supported throughout the day, while offering reassurance to their families.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Care Worker, you will:
- Support the service user to remain independent and live fulfilling lives in their own homes.
- Ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of Service Users during day shifts.
- Maintain clear and professional boundaries within a home care setting.
Core Duties:
· Monitor, observe, and accurately record Service Users' health and wellbeing, maintaining strict confidentiality.
· Provide personal care assistance with dignity and respect.
· Support daily living activities to promote independence.
· Engage Service Users in meaningful activities to encourage social interaction and mental stimulation.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment.
· Work effectively within a care environment in their own home.
· Administer or assist with medication, ointments, and prescribed remedies in line with Medication Administration Records. (MAR)
· Offer companionship and emotional support, building trusting relationships with Service Users.
· Assistance with shopping, appointments and leisurely outings.
Person Specification:
We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, calm, and professional attitude with a genuine passion for supporting others
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and a flexible approach to work
Essential Requirements:
· Previous experience in care, assisted living, or home care (preferred)
· Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle (business insurance required)
· Right to work in the UK as sponsorship is not available for this position
· To undergo a DBS check and provide references.
