Job Summary

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high-quality in-home care to clients across various age groups and health conditions. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being within their own homes. Experience in assisted living, patient care, or nursing home environments is advantageous. Duties

Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Providing medication administration as prescribed and monitoring health conditions
Supporting meal preparation and ensuring nutritional needs are met
Assisting with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
Managing behaviour and implementing care plans for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
Engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Driving clients to appointments or social activities safely using company vehicles
Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in client health or behaviour
Supporting clients with household tasks such as light cleaning and laundry
Responding promptly to emergencies with first aid skills when required
Experience

Prior experience in assisted living, home care, nursing homes, hospice care, or dementia care is highly desirable
Knowledge of patient care protocols, medication administration, and behaviour management techniques
Experience working with elderly or vulnerable adults, including senior care or childcare settings
Familiarity with Alzheimer's and dementia-specific needs and approaches
Valid driving licence for client transportation purposes
Certification in first aid is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates
Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
