Role: Home Care Assistant

Location: Ferndown and Verwood

Pay rate: £13.70 - £15.70 per hour

Travel: £12.71 per hour, plus 40p per mile mileage allowance

Hours: Full-time, part-time and bank positions available

Shift Pattern:  Core shift times are 7:00 – 14:00 and 16:00 – 22:00. We also offer flexible evening shifts, including 16:00 – 20:00, 16:30 – 21:30, and 18:00 – 22:00.

As a Home Care Assistant with Care South, we ensure you are paid not just your contact time, but also for your travel time. On top of this, we pay a generous mileage rate of 40p per mile.

This Home Care Assistant role is a community based, it is essential that applicants hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

About you:

• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required
• You will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Flexible in the hours you can work and the ability to work every other weekend
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• You will hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake one.
