Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Live-In Carer who speaks any of the following languages: Russian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Polish, Romanian, or Hindi to provide high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes.
The ideal candidate must have experience in dementia care, Parkinson’s care, and moving & handling. Experience using a ceiling hoist is essential, as the client requires support with safe transfers and mobility.
You will be responsible for providing personalised care, companionship and support while promoting the client’s dignity, independence and quality of life.
Locations: EN5, N12 and NW7
Rota: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Job Type: Full-time, Live-In
Duties
- Provide personal care and support with daily living activities.
- Support clients with dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
- Assist with moving and handling, including safe use of a ceiling hoist.
- Follow care plans and ensure all care is delivered safely and appropriately.
- Prepare meals and support with medication as required.
- Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support.
- Encourage engagement in suitable activities and maintain a stimulating daily routine.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition or wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with family and the care team.
- Carry out light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
- Promote the client’s dignity, independence and choice at all times.
Requirements
- Female carer required.
- Previous live-in care experience – essential.
- Experience supporting clients with dementia – essential.
- Experience with Parkinson’s care – essential.
- Moving & handling experience – essential.
- Experience using a ceiling hoist – essential.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Ability to understand and follow care plans.
- Compassionate, reliable and patient approach.
- Ability to work independently while being part of a wider care team.
- A valid driving licence and access to a car would be advantageous.
- Right to work in the UK required; no sponsorship available.
