Walfinch East Barnet

We used Walfinch for my dad at home, whilst mum was in respite care following an operation. The main carer provided was male and a perfect match for dad. He actually got dad walking around the block, something he hasn't done for months. His notes on the app were detailed and very helpful. Communication about any concerns and changes to the timetable were dealt with efficiently and effectively. We will definitely be using Walfinch Care if and when needed in the future.

We started using Walfinch East Barnet, in November 2025 and continue to do so. I can honestly say the experience has been excellent from the very beginning. The administrative and management team have been incredibly accommodating and flexible, making the whole process feel straightforward and well-supported.

As this was our first time using carers, we had some understandable concerns particularly about how comfortable it would feel having new people in our home, and how long it might take to find the right fit. However, those worries were quickly put to rest. The carers themselves are professional, kind, and understanding, and they've made a real effort to build trust and provide compassionate support.

The team they've put together is truly wonderful, and what we expected to be a potentially stressful transition turned out to be smooth and reassuring. We're very grateful for the care and attention they've shown, and would highly recommend their services.

We have a live-in carer for my dad and she is amazing. I wanted someone to assist and encourage my dad to be self sufficient as much as possible and that's exactly what they do. They cook, shop and do tasks together, helping to keep my dad able to carry out day to day tasks. Marcelo and the rest of the office staff take the time to listen and understand my requirements and match the correct carer. Prior to Walfinch my wife had been 24/7 carer for mum and she was very apprehensive about bringing in outsiders but also had reached a point that she was exhausted and recognised she needed help as mum's mobility was deteriorating. Walfinch were prompt to come and see us and explain their services in detail and the managers were able to organise care for our mum very quickly. We had a team of approx 5 carers (3 times a day, 7days a week) - almost all were excellent - well presented, caring and professional. The care was over a short period as mum passed away soon after Walfinch started but we very much appreciated the support at a very stressful time.

We switched agencies during my mothers care to work with Walfinch and were not dissapointed. Sanju the carer who came to live with us was wonderful and immediately made us feel we had made the right choice. Sanju was assisted every day by drop in carers, all of whom were kind and compassionate and attentive toward my mother . We were grateful to work with Walfinch at such a difficult time

Walfinch have been so supportive and considerate in helping me deal with my mother's caring needs, making sure my mum had a team of carers who were kind, sympathetic and most importantly who mum felt she could trust to look after her needs. Particular heartfelt thanks to the Manager and her team. You were all amazing and mum had a more comfortable 6 months and a more peaceful end only thanks to your love and care. I will be forever grateful for this.

My husband is receiving palliative care The carers from the agency are gentle, patient and responsive to his needs. I have found Walfinch to be well managed, reliable and supportive. During what is a stressful time for me. I feel that the carers and the agency itself are like good friends that are there for you when you need them.

I am dipping my toe into 'caring' as I assume that later in my 90s I will need more and more. I do not need personal care (and may go for assisted dying when I do!) and sometimes wonder what I can ask of the excellent carers. My primary need is more mobility (medical and other appointments) and Walfinch has met this so well. The carers I have met are not only professionally trained but widely educated making visits a pleasure. Very good start.

My mum's had great help, we're so grateful for what you're doing, my mum has had mental health issues but the tablets have worked well. the workers have been brilliant. one staff member in particular has been great so what is there to say but thank you.

I would like to thank the team at Walfinch for the care and patience they gave to my 97-year-old father. The office staff were understanding and very helpful. The carers were amazing. They had great empathy for both Dad and Mum (also 97) and always very attentive to Dad's needs. In a crisis they all went that extra mile. Thank you all.

This agency took over Mum’s care in July 2023. From the beginning everyone at the agency has been very professional, caring, and accommodating. I particularly appreciate the time and dedication given to finding the right carers for Mum’s particular situation. Contact with the agency is easy and they are always available to talk and listen to suggestions, give advice, and deal with any concerns we may have had along the way. As a family, we have been very happy with the service and would happily recommend the whole team.

Walfinch cared for my elderly father when he was extremely ill and immobile. The gentleness, love and compassion shown by Walfinch staff to my father was truly heartwarming. I cannot praise them enough.

The carer is both very kind and respectful to her client but also firm enough to ensure he is safe. They have formed quite a bond of trust and liking. He is treated as an individual.
