More than just a care company
We're proud of the care we provide, but we're equally proud of the culture we've created.
We want Be Happy at Home to feel like a family.
We celebrate together, support each other and — yes — occasionally do some rather silly things together!
Our team has taken part in fundraising for causes close to our hearts, including dementia charities and Rowcroft Hospice, helping us give something back to the wider community.
We also believe our team deserves to be celebrated.
That's why we have an annual staff party, giving everyone the chance to get together away from work, enjoy themselves and celebrate everything we've achieved as a team.
And then there's our annual... Christmas Dunk!
Every year, our team gets involved in our Christmas Dunk, raising money and having a laugh while doing it.
It's not exactly what you'd expect from a home care company — and that's rather the point!
We want to create a workplace where people can work hard, care passionately and still have fun together.
Christmas is special at Be Happy at Home ... We don't believe our clients should feel forgotten at Christmas.
Every year, our team helps make Christmas special by delivering Christmas presents to all of our clients.
It's one of those traditions that means a huge amount to us.
Seeing the smiles on our clients' faces when we arrive with their Christmas gift reminds us why we do what we do.
Because to us, care isn't just about what's written on a care plan.
It's about the little things.

Your role as a Care Professional
As a Care Professional, you'll support people in their own homes to live as independently and comfortably as possible.
Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing compassionate personal care and support.
• Supporting with washing, dressing and personal hygiene.
• Assisting with medication in line with your training and the person's care plan.
• Supporting with meals and hydration.
• Helping with mobility and daily routines.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Supporting people to maintain their independence.
• Helping with household tasks where appropriate.
• Recognising changes in a person's wellbeing and reporting concerns.
• Building positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Working closely with colleagues and other professionals.
• Maintaining dignity, privacy and respect at all times.
• Following individual care plans and Be Happy at Home policies.
• Going the extra mile to make someone's day a little brighter.
Sometimes it's the smallest things that make the biggest difference.
A cup of tea made exactly how someone likes it.
A favourite song.
A conversation.
A laugh.
Listening to the same story you've heard ten times.
Or simply being there when someone needs you.
That's what great care looks like to us.
