We are looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated Support Workers to join our small, friendly team. You will support people in their own homes and out in the community, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, safety and wellbeing.

No previous care experience is required. What matters most is that you genuinely care about people, communicate well, can solve problems and are committed to providing respectful, person-centred care.

The role

You will work in line with each client's person-centred care plan and provide support with day-to-day activities and personal care.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing high-quality personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
• Supporting service users with mobility and medication prompts.
• Preparing meals and assisting with light domestic tasks.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Helping to reduce loneliness and promote independence and wellbeing.
• Maintaining accurate and timely care records.
• Communicating effectively with service users, families and other professionals.
• Following safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality and other care procedures.
• Working independently while being part of a supportive care team.

Hours & shift patterns

We offer both part-time and full-time opportunities, with flexibility discussed at interview.

Typical shifts include:

• Morning: 6:45am–2:00pm
• Evening: 4:00pm–10:00pm
• Alternative weekends
• Flexible hours available depending on your availability and the needs of the service.

What we're looking for

You will need:

• A genuine passion for supporting and caring for others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, energetic and reliable approach.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Access to your own vehicle, as the role involves travelling between clients.
• The right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.

Previous care experience is not essential – full training, shadowing and ongoing development will be provided.

Respect4Care does not currently hold a Home Office sponsor licence. Applicants must therefore have full right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.

This role is subject to a DBS check.

Work location: Clients' homes and the community across Herne Bay, Whitstable and surrounding areas.
