What Will You Be Doing?

As a Home Care Assistant, you will support our clients in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting clients with personal care
  • Assisting with medication in line with training and care plans
  • Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition and hydration
  • Helping with light household tasks
  • Supporting clients with mobility and daily routines
  • Encouraging clients to remain as independent as possible
  • Building positive and respectful relationships with clients and their families
  • Following individual care plans and maintaining accurate records
