Job Summary

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The role also includes participation in a paid on-call rota covering weekdays and weekends.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and dependable Care Team Leader to join our team.

You will oversee and support care staff in the community, helping to ensure that every client receives safe, person-centred care of the highest standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with senior care experience who enjoys developing others and wants to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess clients and regularly review person-centred care plans.
  • Gather client feedback, address concerns and support service improvements.
  • Work with clients, families, healthcare professionals and other agencies to maintain high standards of care.
  • Lead and support care staff in the community.
  • Complete spot checks, medication competency assessments, supervisions and appraisals.
  • Recognise good practice and identify training and development needs.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure accidents, incidents and concerns are recorded and addressed.
  • Support staff recruitment, induction and development.
  • Provide client care when required to maintain continuity of service.
  • Participate in the paid weekday and weekend on-call rota.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and undertake other reasonable duties assigned by the Registered Manager.

Skills / Qualifications

  • About You You will ideally have: Experience in a senior care role or a care position involving leadership responsibilities. A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • an equivalent qualification or a willingness to work towards one. Strong leadership
  • communication and organisational skills. Knowledge of safeguarding
  • medication management and relevant care standards. The ability to work independently
  • prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload. A compassionate
  • patient and person-centred approach. A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle for travel throughout Cambridgeshire. Flexibility to participate in the paid weekday and weekend on-call rota. The right to work in the UK. The ability to obtain a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
