Experienced Live-In Carer, East London

Sathi Care ltd is a CQC-registered domiciliary care provider that has served east London for over 8 years. We are looking for a reliable, compassionate female live-in carer to join our team and provide high-quality care to clients in their own homes. We are looking for someone who has Level 3 in Health and Social Care qualification or Care Certificate.

Location: East London
Hours/pattern: 8-10 hour Shift patterns
Start date: asap

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance to clients with diverse needs.
• Administer medications accurately and follow prescribed care plans to ensure health and safety.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and preferences, encouraging healthy eating habits.
• Support clients with activities of daily living such as light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping errands.
• Manage behavioral challenges with patience and understanding, especially in cases involving dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Maintain detailed records of care provided, changes in condition, and any incidents or concerns.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment that promotes mental well-being.

Requirements

• Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments with a focus on senior or hospice care. Minimum 1-2 years of experience.
• Fluent English speaker
• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and behaviour management techniques.
• Ability to perform light physical tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for client mobility or household chores.
• Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional caregiving certifications are advantageous. Or can be worked towards and fully funded by the employer.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed care instructions accurately.
• Flexibility to work live-in shifts that may include overnight stays; reliable and punctual nature.
