Home Instead East brings virtual dementia bus to the Royal Norfolk Show

Home Instead East is delighted to announce its participation in the upcoming Royal Norfolk Show, taking place on 26th and 27th June 2024. Visitors can find the team at stand 301 – Avenue 1 Health Village.

This year, Home Instead East is offering a unique and insightful experience for attendees: the Virtual Dementia Tour bus.

This medically proven, interactive experience simulates the effects of dementia using advanced technology that alters the senses. Participants will gain a firsthand understanding of how individuals with dementia perceive the world and navigate everyday tasks.

Tom McEwan, owner of Home Instead East, explains: "Raising awareness of dementia is important, but providing a real-life experience is truly transformative. By experiencing the Virtual Dementia Bus, people can begin to understand the challenges individuals face living with this condition in their everyday life.

The Virtual Dementia Tour bus will be available at the Home Instead East stand between 10am and 4pm on both days of the show.
