Musical Memories 2024!

On October 20th, Right at Home TR hosted our annual Musical Memories get-together, and it just might have been our best one yet! Alsatair Shanks, owner of Alton & Bordon, Twickenham & Richmond, Guildford & Farnham, Camberely & Woking has been running Musical Memories for years, and he was thrilled with the full house!

The entire afternoon was filled with smiles, applause, sing-songs, and of course, delicious cake. This year, we were joined by the incredible women’s singing group, In Accord, who delivered an outstanding performance.

They sang a fantastic mix of timeless songs and classics, which got the audience involved throughout the afternoon; the joy in the room was wonderful! Our event was held at the Farnham Maltings, a fitting venue since it’s home to the Farnham community group Singing for the Mind, which meets every Monday.

At Right at Home, we run weekly community groups, focusing on those with dementia, and these groups provide multiple benefits, from enhancing cognitive function and reducing isolation to encouraging social interaction, light exercise, and evoking cherished memories.
