Last weekend, Julie, one of our dedicated Support Care Workers in Lytham, spent a lovely morning with a lady we support and care for, bringing along a box full of craft materials to brighten up a February afternoon.
After watching a short online video together for inspiration, they decided to create handmade Thank You cards. Both enjoyed practising their new skills, and the finished card, a beautiful purple design, was absolutely lovely. It was a wonderful way to encourage creativity, focus and a sense of achievement.
To round off the morning, they wrapped up warm and headed out for a treat at New Penny. The choice? “A sundae on a Sunday”, which caused lots of laughter and smiles!
Moments like these reflect how meaningful companionship, shared activities and a little imagination can turn an ordinary day into something special. Supporting individuals to keep active, creative and connected within their local community is at the heart of what we do.
A truly lovely morning together.
