Home Instead Ascot Collects Easter Eggs and Treats for Bracknell Foodbank

As Easter approaches, Home Instead Ascot, Camberley & Wokingham is asking the local community to help ensure families in Bracknell don't go without this Easter, by donating eggs and treats to their annual appeal.

This year the team is directing all donations to Bracknell Foodbank, supporting local families who may otherwise find the Easter period a difficult time. It follows a successful appeal last year which saw the team deliver Easter eggs to The Lexicon Bracknell and the Children's Ward at Frimley Park Hospital, an effort made possible entirely by the generosity of the local community, Care Professionals, and the wider Home Instead family.

For many families who rely on foodbanks, essentials always come first. Treats rarely make the list. A donated Easter egg might seem small, but for a parent it can mean being able to give their child something special such as a moment of celebration that would otherwise have been out of reach. For older people, it matters too. Food is comfort as much as fuel, and something as simple as a chocolate egg can bring a little brightness during what can often be a stressful and isolating time.

Lauren Fridge, Business Development Manager, said: "Food banks are busier than ever, and Easter can be a particularly tough time for families who are already stretching every penny. Something as simple as an Easter egg can mean the world to a child who might not otherwise have one. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported our appeal in previous years, and we hope the community will get behind us again. Every single donation, however big or small, goes directly to someone who needs it."

Donations of Easter eggs and treats can be dropped off at the Home Instead Ascot office, located near Tesco at Unit 17, County Lane, Warfield, Bracknell, RG42 3JP, before Friday 27th March.
