Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede is celebrating a proud moment as Field Care Supervisor and Care Trainer Bibiana Correa has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Excellence in Women Empowerment category at the Leading Women in Care Awards 2026.

The national awards recognise outstanding women working across the care sector who are making a meaningful impact in the lives of others, championing leadership, empowerment and excellence in care.

Bibiana joined Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede in 2021 as a carer with no previous experience in the care sector. Through dedication, compassion and a strong commitment to learning, she quickly became a valued member of the team, earning the office’s Carer of the Year award twice before progressing into leadership roles.

Today, Bibiana serves as Field Care Supervisor and Lead Care Trainer, where she supports the development of new and existing care professionals. Her role includes carrying out customer assessments and reviews, delivering staff inductions, and mentoring carers to ensure customers consistently receive safe, high quality and compassionate care in their own homes.

Colleagues say Bibiana’s leadership stands out because she combines professional knowledge with genuine empathy. Drawing on her own experiences, she supports team members with confidence and understanding, particularly in complex situations that require careful communication with families and coordination with health professionals.

Her ability to remain calm, supportive and solutions focused has helped build trust with customers and their families, while also strengthening the skills and confidence of the wider care team.

The team at Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede say they are incredibly proud of Bibiana’s journey and the positive impact she continues to make across the organisation. Being shortlisted for the Leading Women in Care Awards 2026 recognises not only her professional growth, but also her commitment to empowering others and raising standards across the home care sector.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in March 19th, 2026 Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede wishes Bibiana the very best of luck on the night.
