Chief Nurse Adult Social Care - Team Award Nomination
Wakefield Branch - Prestige Nursing & Care

I would like to nominate the Wakefield Branch for their outstanding dedication, teamwork and commitment to both their colleagues and the clients they support. An exceptional, friendly and welcoming team, Zoe leads by example and has an amazing, dedicated team to show for it. There is no divide between hierarchy or status and everyone there is focused on quality, clinical excellence and the highest quality of care delivery to clients and the colleagues working in the packages.

This team consistently demonstrates an ability to work together harmoniously, offering one another support while upholding the highest standards of quality care. Their collaborative approach ensures that every team member as well as every client, feels valued and supported each day.

One of the most telling aspects of this successful working culture is the positive feedback received from colleagues who have visited the branch. This feedback highlights not only the quality of care provided but also the strong internal support system within the team. Whenever challenges arise, team members check in with each other, offering encouragement and assistance. This practice, driven by the branch manager Zoe, includes daily lunch breaks together. These shared breaks foster team bonding, open communication and provide an opportunity for supportive check-ins - a crucial aspect in the demanding field of care.

The progress made by Wakefield Branch over the past 18 months is truly remarkable. Eighteen months ago, the branch was facing significant pressures. Under Zoe’s leadership, the team came together to address these challenges head-on. Despite the overwhelming task ahead, they worked tirelessly and collaboratively, transforming the branch into the high-performing team it is today.

Providing safe, effective care is always at the top of the team’s agenda.

The manager collaborates with the team to continuously improve care by being innovative, curious and fierce advocates for delivering care to their clients.

This nomination recognises the unwavering commitment of the Wakefield Branch team to ensuring quality, governance and safe practice; advocating for their clients, staff and social care. Their dedication to continuous improvement, teamwork, individualised support and care planning to enable the delivery of outstanding care makes them truly deserving of recognition.

Wakefield Team Refection's.
As the Wakefield team, we are so proud and honoured to have received the Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care ‘Team Award’. This recognition has truly touched our hearts. It gave us a moment to stop, reflect and really feel the power of togetherness that runs through our team every single day.

Winning this award has shown us that the culture we strive to cascade out to our wider care colleagues is not only felt but seen. We always say, “together we are one,” and this award reminded us of just that, the unity, support and strength that comes when we work side by side.

For us, it is not just about the award itself but about the impact it represents, the reassurance that the values we live by are making a real difference to those we support and to each other. It has fuelled our pride, strengthened our bonds and given us even more drive as we look forward to the future and everything yet to come.

What an achievement - one that will stay with us always”.
