I have worked within the care sector since 2008, gaining experience in a variety of roles including Care Worker, Field Care Supervisor, Care Coordinator and now Registered Branch Manager. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep passion for ensuring that every individual receives high-quality, person-centred care that truly makes a difference to their life.
I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, Level 4 in Leadership and Management and Level 5 in Health and Social Care - Adults and Children, as an approved level 4 Foster Carer, I hold a Level 4 qualification in Working with Children, Young People and Families (Fostering Pathway). These all have built the experiences and knowledge along my journey as we work towards our next chapter.
I have proudly been part of Prestige Nursing & Care for over ten and a half years where our branch ethos is built around creating a true care family - supporting both our care colleagues and the people we care for. Together, we celebrate outcomes, share successes and promote a positive, compassionate culture where everyone feels valued and supported.
Providing exceptional, person-centred care and fostering a sense of belonging for both our clients and colleagues is truly at the heart of everything we do.
I began my career in NHS administration in 1997 and have worked across a wide range of roles and care settings ever since. As a qualified nurse with decades of experience, I bring a genuine people-centred approach to everything I do, ensuring every client is treated with dignity, respect, and kindness.
What I love most about my work is that it’s truly about people; our clients are always at the heart of everything we do. I take pride in building trusting relationships with families, clients, and care colleagues alike, creating a supportive environment where everyone feels valued.
I passionately champion the incredible work of care colleagues and firmly reject the idea that anyone is “just a carer.” With warmth, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to quality care, make me proud to be part of the Prestige Nursing & Care family.
I began my career in care in 2012 after being made redundant from my role as Manager at Clinton Cards. I wanted to do something completely different, something that truly made a difference to people’s lives and gave back to the community. That’s when I joined Heritage Health Care, where I spent four and a half years as a Domiciliary Carer in the community. I absolutely loved the role and the opportunity to meet and care for a variety of people and their families.
I then went on to become a live-in carer for a client who had Parkinson’s, and I supported them for three years. After the client passed away, my former manager from Heritage Health Care contacted me to say she was now working for Prestige Nursing & Care and that when I was ready to return to work, there would be a place for me.
In 2020, just before COVID hit, I went for an interview with Prestige Nursing & Care, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I was successful in applying for a Field Care Supervisor role, which I’ve been proud to do ever since.
I love working for the Wakefield branch; the encouragement, support, and sense of family have helped me grow in confidence more than I ever imagined. As a team, we stick together and get through whatever life throws our way. I can’t imagine working anywhere else, and I’m proud every day to be part of the Prestige Nursing & Care family.
I began my career in care in 2010 and went on to qualify as a Registered Nurse in 2021. After qualifying, I worked on a general surgery ward, gaining valuable experience in acute nursing care before deciding to take a new direction and join Prestige Nursing & Care in 2024.
Working at Prestige allows me to provide truly holistic care, supporting our clients in their own homes and helping them live life to the fullest. I’m passionate about continuously learning more about each individual’s condition and how best to support them, both clinically and personally. Every day brings new opportunities to make a difference, and that’s what I love most about my role.
I joined Prestige Nursing & Care in June 2020, starting my journey as a carer within our Home Care service before progressing into Complex Care. After taking seven months of maternity leave to have my daughter, I returned with a renewed passion to further develop my knowledge and skills.
I’m now part of the branch team as a Field Care Supervisor, supporting both our care colleagues and clients to ensure we deliver the highest quality of care. I love working in care because I truly enjoy making a difference in people’s lives - not only for our amazing clients but also for their families.
A big part of my role involves supporting many of our SEN children, helping to give parents valuable respite while ensuring the children have the chance to get out into the community, socialise, and take part in activities they enjoy. Every day brings new rewards, and I feel proud to be part of such a caring and dedicated team.
I have been part of Prestige Nursing & Care for 27 years, and during that time, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of roles that have helped shape my experience and passion for care. Over the years, I’ve worked as a Health Care Assistant, Field Care Supervisor, and Home Care Worker, as well as supporting our Complex Care services. I’ve also had the opportunity to help oversee the running of the branch when managers have been on annual leave or working abroad, in the past, which has given me experience in multiple roles and experiences.
I’ve completed my NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, along with a Leadership course, all of which have supported me in providing high-quality, person-centred care.
After so many years with Prestige, I still love what I do, making a difference to our clients’ lives every day and working alongside a team who share the same values of compassion, commitment, and care.
I began my career in healthcare back in 1980, working in nursing with the British Red Cross. In 1981, I trained as a Dental Nurse at St James’s, and soon after, in 1982, I qualified as an Instructor in First Aid at Work for the Red Cross - something I’ve continued to be proud of throughout my career.
I have worked in care since 1983 and have always been passionate about supporting others to live safely, comfortably and with dignity.
My journey with Prestige Nursing & Care began in December 2020, when I joined as a Complex Care Colleague. Over time, I have progressed into my current role as Field Care Manager, where I continue to support our clients, families, and care colleagues across Wakefield, York, and Leeds.
With over forty years’ experience in health and social care, I’m proud to bring both knowledge and compassion to every role I undertake. I truly believe in the difference that high-quality, person-centred care makes, and I’m passionate about helping others grow in their roles while ensuring that every client receives the care, dignity, and respect they deserve.
I began my career in support first, working in a school environment as a Behaviour Support Worker, supporting children with challenging behaviours. During my 18 years in that role, I worked closely with families and social workers, developing a deep understanding of the importance of communication, trust, and consistency in care and support.
Wanting to continue making a difference in people’s lives, I joined Prestige Nursing & Care, initially as a carer. From there, I progressed to Field Care Supervisor and was later promoted to Care Planner.
I absolutely love the communication and connection that comes with my role - supporting our care colleagues, clients, and families each day. I get a real buzz from seeing care grow, new packages develop and being part of building the strong values that make our branch such a special place to work.
