Walnut Care was commended as one of Lincolnshire's snow heroes during the famous Beast from the East by Lincolnshire’s Resilience Forum - a multi-agency group that works together in the event of emergency situations.

Walnut Care received its commendation in the non-emergency group category after several of Walnut Care's care and support workers walked through snow blizzards to reach their service users.

Pauline Wood, a senior carer for Walnut Care in Winthorpe and Ingoldmells, was also individually commended after being nominated by her service users.
