View Full Details of Nightingale's Home CareSince starting with 'Nightingales' in January I have had absolutely no concerns over the care provided to my mother. Whilst the care mainly involves cleaning and vacuuming the contact and regular 'keeping an eye' on my mother gives me confidence that any possible issues both health wise and property wise can be dealt with promptly. My mother now considers her carers as her friends and values there visits.
I contacted Nightingales for personal care assistance following a replacement shoulder operation. The office staff were very supportive in setting up my requirements for assistance washing/showering + dressing a.m and getting ready for bed in the evening. All members of caring team extremely kind and made the whole experience a good one. Would contact in future if we need of care.
We have had a really good experiennce with Nightingales. The carers are friendly and competant. Adjustments to cover required have always been accomodated - even one day when we wanted an extra emergency visit! There is little to fault with their service.
Was pleased with the care my mum (sadly now deceased) received from Nightingales. They were friendly and upbeat and Mum who initially was against any form of care, used to enjoy their visits . If l ever needed additional last minute care or to change something they were always very obliging. In Mum's final days they were so helpful to me and called in even though it was not technically the day they were due .
I have been using Nightingale care for some time now. I find the service they give is very high standard. My Dad looks forward to the carer coming in to give him his breakfast. They always spend time to have a chat with him and always ask if they can do anything else before they leave. I would recommend Nightingale care to anybody who is looking for Care in the home
My first interaction with Nightingales was around May 2022. My father had recently been discharged from hospital and needed nursing care at home, which was initially 3 visits per day and then increased to 4 from February 24. The girls took care of my father by dealing with his personal care and preparation of food. He was primarily bed bound so not an easy task. They were always bubbly and got on with my father extremely well, although sometimes my father could be quite rude at times if he didn't want to be disturbed but they just took it on the chin. Unfortunately my father passed away at home in May 24 and was found by one of the carers. They dealt with my father in a dignified way and cleansed him and made him look peaceful before my sister and I were able to get to the property. They stayed to console us as long as we wanted for which I am internally grateful.
Nightingale Care were wonderful in helping with care on several occasions in 2024 for both my parents who had complex needs. They bent over backwards to understand and support the situation and I can't praise them highly enough. Thank you.
My mother (well into her 90s) has been using Nightingale's for sometime. She lives alone and is mobile inside the house, and still living in her own home after a heart attack and Covid. But I live and work abroad and can't be home. Nightingale's have provided morning and evening care service for some years. All that time they have been efficient and responsive, and - most important - my mother finds the carers capable and pleasant. As with any such service, minor glitches arise because of staffing situations, and while carer characters and approaches differ, all have met good standards of care, efficiency, and honesty. Those are all important things when I can't be close by, and are all relayed to me from my mother, who gives me daily updates on which carers did what. I'm not sure how to rate this in stars. Neither I nor my mother have had any real complaints, but we're not looking for nursing "angels", just a reliable, realistic and trustable human response and that is what we've had!
The carers are friendly and professional. They listen to the needs of my sister and go at her pace. The only reason I have marked management down is that we have at times had two carers turn up at different times or they have turned up when my sister has been in respite. Other than this minor point I would recommend Nightingales as they are all very helpful, friendly and professional. I have not been able to rate Value for Money as the council pays for my sister's care.
