Let me say avoid this company at all costs. Star Care got involved when my mums health got to the point she needed help.
Main issues we had came from the non regular staff (NRS), who would come for weekend and holiday cover. One carer was excellent. Issues! Stayed a few mins and logged as full
time, medicines not given, no shows. doors unlocked, key-box code left set, soiled bedding left. Food not given. Multiple reviews held to rectify issues. We kept the house stocked, listed food available, helped set up the room and instructions printed. We were available for help at anytime to assist.
We the family met them way more than halfway. 23/12/24 an NRS attended, lied about times, door was left unlocked and broke the door handle completely from the door. We paid the repair so the house was secure, multiple emails/calls made with instructions of who to pay. They only paid up over a month later with lies, stalling and ignoring emails. I would say more but I only have 1000 characters! Stay away.

Stay clear. They rip off the elderly claiming time they've not done, jobs they've not done and refusing to do simple tasks when asked. They rip off the elderly and vulnerable. Please do not use. Please do not use.

The service is satisfying, I like the carer. I can get on with her and I like her. I am satisfied with the service it is great and wonderful service. I like all the staff, they turn up on time they are never late, it is a great service.
