View full details of Home Instead (Rochdale)The girls took on caring for mum a few months back. The service from the start has been excellent.Carers met mum before they started which helped settle mum. All forms of communication are excellent from text email phone calls and personnel visits. Mum has received a high standard of care from the start. We are informed through the app about how visit has gone. The girls are very patient as mum isn't easy but they treat her with respect and dignity. We are extremely happy with all services provided from home instead. They have put us at ease whilst we are at work.No ask is to big and work very closely with family to keep continuity of care first rate. A massive thankyou to all those involved you truly are amazing.
My carer is very good. She works over and above any other carer I have had. I have no problems this year with the office sending other carers without informing me.
The ladies who are caring for mum are fantastic. Patient, supportive and respectful. They are helping mum to maintain her independence as much as possible whilst giving some peace of mind to my sister and myself. It's not an easy task dealing with mum, who can be quite stubborn and bolshy, and the care and compassion they show to her is fantastic. The plus side is that mum seems to respond well to them and accepts their help. One carer is particular has been a godsend. They also listen to requests from us and are quick to identify if mum needs anything additional. With both myself and sister working full time it eases the workload, if not the guilt of not being able to do more. Thank you so much, we appreciate all the help and support you have given mum and us.
Thanks to all at Home Instead who have helped care for our mum. From the moment a particular member of staff came to assess her at her home we knew mum was going to be looked after well. The detailed care plan showed she understood all of mums needs. All the care staff and office staff have been brilliant, mum and dad have been so happy, mum always looked lovely and clean. I know it wasn't always easy to get her out of bed and into the shower especially on a cold morning. I would love to name you all but would hate to miss someone out. The reports have been detailed and it's been nice to read how mum is each day Mum and Dad thought the world of you all. It's the reason why mum stayed at home so long. If mum returns home or dad needs care we will be getting in touch again. A massive big thank you from all the family.
The care provided by Home Instead has been fantastic. They have gone over and above to help with my sister who has dementia. They have always been professional and caring. We especially like their reports after each visit.
It's hard to put into words how amazing Home Instead Rochdale were when we needed care provision for Dad at short notice. The consultation process gathered information on Dad's personal care requirements and background information on Dad and his interests. We were nervous before the first visit but the carer was a delight and put everyone at ease and treated Dad in such a caring manner. The personal care is provided in such a way as to maintain Dad's privacy and independence as much as possible and is never hurried. All of the carers have been well trained and if something needs doing get on with it e.g. if the sheets or clothes need changing. When I had dropped Dad's razor, it was the carer who pointed out that the foil was damaged. The team have all been lovely people and provided companionship to both Dad and my stepmum. We now see the positives of care: support with Dad's needs, reducing the burden on my stepmum and the companionship. I have recommended the team to friends.
My sister, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, has 2 carer/companions from Home Instead. They come for 3 hours on 2 days of the week. They have made such a difference to her life and she really looks forward to them coming. They are more than companion/carers and have become real friends. They are very willing and will do anything she asks them to do from cleaning to changing bed linen to taking her out for walks and visiting interesting places. They usually have a coffee on the way too! We are very grateful to Home Instead for providing such a splendid service. Thank you.
We have been so happy with the care our mum has received from the consistent three carers she has had over the last 6 months. The carers are kind, patient extremely hard working and always go above and beyond what has been asked of them. My mum feels safe and looked after and above all listened to. They have also allowed me to have more freedom because I know she is being so well cared for on the days I don't see her. Thank you.
My mum is 78 years young. She has a few illnesses and is getting very forgetful and confused. She is prescribed a lot of different medications throughout the day which can be stressful and time consuming for me to administer. Home instead come in 3 times a day and make sure she takes the correct meds at the appropriate times. I have found them to be very trustworthy and informative to my mums needs in the moment. They are also very flexible when my mum needs to go to hospital appointments and will work around her schedule if required. All in all very well organised, and meticulous care providers. Thank you.
The carers are excellent and have provided a first class service despite the horrendous weather conditions they have battled through snow and ice to ensure that my mum had consistent care, the support staff have also been brilliant keeping me fully updated and dealing very effeciently with any requests I have made. I feel confident that my mum is in capable hands, knowing that she is safe and secure and professionally looked after makes all the difference I can now start to breath again !
My mum looks forward to going shopping and going for lunch with her carer. She takes her out a couple of times a week, it gives her something to look forward to. She also has her nails done and loves showing them off. There's nothing that is too much trouble for them, you only have to ask or leave a note and it's done. My mum has a couple of carers and they are so good with her. On the days she's not going out they make sure mum has lunch and check her medication. I highly recommend this company to anyone who has doubts about letting strangers into your loved one's home, they become friends and a lifeline to them. Them going into Mum during the week gives me peace of mind whilst I am at work, they ring me or leave a note if anything needs doing or mum isn't 100%.
My carer has been with me for almost a year and has done a great job. She cleans my home and is also a good companion and friend. She thinks of many interesting things we can do together i.e. visiting the refurbished town halls and many other places locally. She is always on time and I am grateful for her care of me.
Everyone is understanding pleasant and kind can't fault anything.
My wonderful parents have sadly both been diagnosed with Dementia on top of other health needs. It has been a painful few months watching them decline as they have tried desperately to cling on to their independence and continue to live together in their beautiful home. As a family, we have been incredibly stretched taking on the running of their financial affairs, house upkeep and management of their day-to-day needs. We recently hit a crisis point and placed Mum and Dad in a care facility for a respite period. They were both incredibly unhappy and wanted to return home but we knew we needed care in place for this to be a safe option. Luckily we were recommended Home Instead. Every aspect of the process has been exceptional and a staff member has matched my parents with a wonderful team of care professionals. We are only a week in but it has already made a huge difference to all concerned and we are so grateful we found your company.
My Mum is nearly blind but still lives in her own bungalow. I felt she needed some help with food and general cleaning and Home Instead was recommended to me. In the last 3 years, they have been great. Mum even says they are friends now and look forward to their visits. I can highly recommend them. They let us know who is coming each day and are on time. Great service!
Home Instead have enabled us to keep our Dad in his home in his familiar environment. Without the service, my sister and I would have struggled to meet his daily needs as he slips evermore into the stranglehold that is Dementia. We rely on the carers to support Dad which enables us to know he's in safe hands while we enjoy time with our families. Caring for someone with this condition is a large commitment and responsibility. My sister and I work well together and hard to give our Dad a happy, safe and loving day-to-day life. The carers complement this ethos of care, they are all excellent caregivers and treat Dad with the utmost respect. He feels happy and safe with each one of the team. Big thanks Home Instead you have been there for us in our time of great need.
Recently started to use the service. All staff we have been in contact with have been helpful and friendly. Our helper and her relief are both hardworking, cheerful and considerate.
My 91-year-old mother lives independently in sheltered accommodation. We live a long distance away from her and Mum needed care to help her and to allow her to remain in her flat. We had a recommendation from a friend about Homeinstead and decided to give them a try. The carers go into see Mum three times a day and they have been a God send. Their attention to the support and care they give my Mum is excellent. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I can see the record of their visits and what they have done to Mum via their app. They have also been able to take Mum to appointments such as the dentists and outpatients at the hospital. We have an email group to allow the carers to raise issues with me and my wife and to contact them. This works faultlessly and has allowed us to arrange shopping deliveries when her supplies are getting low or issues that require my wife and I to raise with doctors/pharmacists and the like. They don't come cheap, but are worth every pound of it !
Home Instead provided excellent service and communication. They provided daily morning care to my brother and were always punctual. All caregivers were very professional in every aspect of their care which was reassuring to us as a family.
Back in May 2023, my mother had a serious fall and we needed some daytime assistance. Doing my research I found that Home Instead had good reviews. A meeting was arranged and we were impressed by the thorough and professional consultation that took place. The care we have had since the summer has been excellent. The carers have always been kind, considerate and professional, always happy to help in any way they can. This might be taking her shopping, or for a gentle stroll, or helping with laundry - all sorts of things. My mother has looked forward to their visits and regards them as friends. Communication is also very good with the office team ensuring everything is working well and monitoring the situation. My mother could not have continued to live at home without Home Instead. Sadly she has now to move into a care home due to health issues, but we are very grateful for the care she has had from Home Instead, and I can wholeheartedly recommend their service.
