Before a spell in hospital and having to go into a care home, my mother was looked after at home by Home Instead for 2 -3 years and built up an excellent rapport with her carers. They became friends, rather than just carers and were extremely helpful coming in each morning and setting her up for the
day. This undoubtedly helped her to remain living at home longer than she would have been able to otherwise. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending them to anyone who has elderly relatives that need looking after.

Home Instead started looking after my late mum in the summer of 2025. It surpassed our family expectations. The carers were fantastic, helping mum with household tasks that she could no longer undertake and chatting to her as they went about their work. Mum was so complimentary about all her carers,
she had a regular team and she built up a great relationship with each of them. They were professional, hard working, flexible and most importantly kind and caring towards her. They also reported each day on an app which was brilliant, my brother lives abroad and I lived some way away. This meant we were able to get daily reassurance on mum's health and well being. If we had found Home Instead before last summer we would have employed them sooner. I would have no hesitation on recommending them. They are first class.

My late mother was cared for by home instead, the level of care was first class, this gave me great comfort knowing that my mum was getting great care and love, nothing was to much when my mum needed that extra support, home instead was always on call if I needed any extra assistance, mum got to
know her carers very well she always had the same carers suzi and Suzanne, mum had the perfect relationship with suzi and Suzanne, they looked after my mum as if she was there own mum. Mum realised how important they were to her and she came to depend on them, this was very important to mum as mum liked things done her way, which was never an issue with the carers, mum got very attached to her two carers.which was comforting for me knowing my mum had the right care. I highly recommend home instead nothing was to much for them when mum needed extra help.

Following an accident, I needed help in the short term with personal care and light housework. This was quickly managed. My helpers were supportive and, as I became more able, encouraged me towards independence.

I can only speak highly of this company, the staff, the carers everyone I have ever needed to speak to in regards to my Mums care was 100% professional, kind and helpful.
The flexibility if I needed to change hours or days - no trouble at all it was done for me.
The carers themselves are
wonderful, they will do their upmost to make sure your loved one is comfortable and looked after in the time they spend with them, always arriving on time and making sure everything is in place for them.
There is an app that the family member can log in to and find out how the visit has gone - i found this invaluable as I live a distance from my Mum.
100% definitely recommend this company

My father received excellent care during visits, each carer made him feel special and spent time chatting with him whilst completing their tasks.
Home Instead made it possible for my father to stay at home in a familiar and safe environment.

We have had an exceptional service from Home Instead Peterborough , Oundle and the Deepings. My father had been extremely reluctant to accept care but from meeting the Care Manager for the first time and onwards , he ( and the whole family ) have been so impressed by the kindness , professionalism
and quality of the care that he has received . There has been great effort taken to match the needs of my father to his care professionals. My father has enjoyed getting to know his care professionals and they have taken the time to get to know his needs and interests. I would say that they have gone the extra mile with him - not only doing the care tasks to a very high standard but also by being prepared to sit with him , engaging him in conversation that he finds interesting and stimulating. This has undoubtedly helped by father's wellbeing and ability to stay independent in his own home.

My mum received outstanding care from Home Instead. The carers were kind, thoughtful, caring and compassionate. They treated my mum as though she was their mum and my sister and I never had to worry when we knew Home Instead carers were visiting her. The office staff were also very pleasant to
deal with. We had an excellent experience throughout the 2 years mum was cared for by Home Instead.

I highly recommend Home Instead!
My father is someone who is very active, out & about on his own most days, but has memory loss. He did not need personal care, but he wanted support to live independently in his own home (& didn't want that support to only come from family).
The carers are
amazing! They treat him as an individual, with dignity, care & respect.
They do some housework, take him shopping to his kind of shops for his next (DIY!) project; accompany him on walks, & encourage him to sing (which he has always loved), & much more.
He is unique, as all of us are, & Home Instead are the only organisation that I found that recognised that & matched carers that support him as the individual he is.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

I can highly recommend Home Instead Peterborough.
I had major abdominal surgery and needed short term help for personal care etc. It was a godsend to me that I could access such excellent care on a short term basis. The carers were all professional and also friendly. In addition to personal care
did light housework. The carers had been carefully chosen so I got on well with them. I always knew who was coming, they were punctual and on the odd occasion when there was a delay because of morning traffic the office phoned me to inform me of the slight delay.
So all in all a very professional and caring company which I highly recommend.

Home Instead has supported my Mum, who has advanced Alzheimer's, and my Dad, who, as her main carer, needs respite. Home Instead was marvellous from the start. The team clearly understands the need to get to know someone with dementia well. The carers are now fully trusted by my Mum. My Dad has two
afternoons a week to himself. Mum is well looked after by people who genuinely care about her and are utterly professional in safeguarding etc. Also, as they have insurance to drive the person cared for, it means Mum can be taken out somewhere different for a coffee, etc.
For people who want to remain in their own homes and manage care incrementally, from companionship through to personal needs, discovering Home Instead was like hitting the jackpot for our family. They are truly person-centred. They bring together professional care with bespoke solutions for individuals and families.
They are reliable, understanding, professional and genuinely care both in the physical and ethical senses.

Dear family friend needed post hospital support with getting up, dressing, breakfast & lunch preparation. We were delighted to have such great caregivers from Home Instead. It meant we could all relax a bit knowing that they were visiting. Just a team of 4 - all introduced to
him in advance & a 6 week rota agreed. He gained confidence & mobility as well as enjoyed a daily chat. Very friendly & professional. It may seem initially expensive but I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. You get what you pay for! The caregivers also seemed happy in their work. Thank you to everyone involved

A very reliable service, delivered by health care professionals who were familiar with the client, ensuring the clients likes / dislikes were known about and complied with. Communication with the family was always precise, timely and easily understood.

My mum is in the dementia ward of a local care home and she has been enjoying daily companionship visits from Home Instead for about 3 months now.
Before the visits started, the Home Instead co-ordinator talked in detail with me and my mum to get to know her and sort out the best match for the
caregivers. It was important to me to minimise the number of care givers, so that my mum got to know them, so I am really happy that the visits are provided by a team of 3 ladies.
The daily visits are a mix of coffee in the residents lounge, walks in the garden, looking at old photographs together and craft activities.
When I visited mum last week, after saying hello, the first thing she said was that it was nice that her friends now visited her each day, meaning the Home Instead companions. This was lovely to hear.
I would like to thank Home Instead very much for considerably improving my mum's enjoyment of life.

I feel very fortunate to have come across Home Instead Peterborough (Oundle & The Deepings), for the care of my mother, particularly after trying to navigate the myriad of local care companies that don't offer what they promise and have copious hidden charges. From the Home Instead staff in the
office to the individual carers everyone seems to be dedicated for my mother care and well-being, with lots of valuable advice along the way, all of which is a most refreshing experience. What I particularly like is we have the same team of amazing carers visit each day which I believe is so important for ongoing continuity thus enabling my mother to develop a strong trusting relationship with them very quickly, I feel its important to see a familiar face each day! Basically, I cannot recommend this company highly enough as they have exceeded my expectations on all levels.
