I look forward to her visits; she is always smiling and cheerful. Her years of experience in the care field mean she knows the answer to most problems (including on the tablet!), making her sympathetic to my needs, yet encouraging my own efforts. I know things will be done properly. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble for her. She just sees what needs to be done and does it. A given, really!
We are overall happy with the service from Helping Hands. We find some staff more helpful than others.
All the people from Helping Hands were very good. They helped me with my swollen legs and made sure that I was alright & had no worries. They cleaned my room and reset my pressure unit, cleaned my legs and creamed them. They made sure that the legs were set correctly & operating correctly. They were very good in all there work. I give them top marks, they really deserve 5 stars! Both with legs & general help. What I did not like is the price!! I am paying for it!
I have always found the carers to be friendly, helpful, professional and respectful towards my mother. They are all very good at their job and understand the needs of the customer. The management team are also very helpful and easy to interact with. Overall I'm very happy with the level of service offered.
We are very pleased with the care and support that my mother is receiving from Helping Hands Home Care. The staff are kind, caring and helpful and the support they provide is enabling her to stay in her own home which is what she wants. This service is very reliable and we are always alerted to any problems/difficulties that may arise.
I contacted Helping Hands in late March to arrange weekday carer support for my sister-in-law, from April onward. My Helping Hands contact, was extremely helpful during a difficult time (COVID-19) and really handled everything very efficiently and, although I had my doubts as to whether she could deliver within the short time specified, she did so and we were up and running by early April. My sister-in-law, 89, suffers with dementia, was really against having carer support, believing she could do everything herself, however overtime she has come to accept what they do and really enjoys their twice-daily visits. I've had only limited exposure to the actual carers, as I don't live locally, the one's that I have met have been very personable and receptive to comments. They appear to be quite flexible in terms of jobs in the house, providing shopping needs or just to sit with my sister-in-law and chat. We now have weekend support as well which was organised with great efficiency.
Cannot comment on their level of care but after leaving several messages with staff for someone to call me back as it was important to sort my mother's care out, I could still be waiting for a call back. Instead I have given up on this company as if they cannot do a simple thing like call me back, how can I trust them to care for my Mother?
