At Personal Support the team - especially management - are very efficient and very approachable. Personal assistants have all been respectful and helpful. I have personal experience that in an emergency/crisis everybody at York Personal Support prove to be very proactive, supportive and flexible. I
have been with YPS many years testament to their professionalism and frinedliness.

From our initial approach to the agency to being assigned a PA for our daughters the whole experience has been extremely smooth and efficient at every stage. Our concerns and requirements for our disabled daughters were listened to in detail and the PA assigned to them has excelled in her dealings
with them. I would have no hesitation in recommending this agency - our only regret is that we wish we had approached them a year earlier at the start of our daughters post education journey.

I am temporarily housebound following surgery in January and needed some help in the house. I am receiving a weekly visit and my carer has provided excellent professional help with cleaning, shopping and various tasks which I can't manage myself. I am very happy with the service, which is ongoing.

The PA support provided to my mum is wonderful. My mum has a complex neurological condition. The PA has provided support that is highly professional, respectful, and nuanced. We were first referred to PA support 6 years ago and the PA provided transitional support from hospital. After living
relatively independently, a relapse and medical complications left her needing more support last year. Miraculously the same PA was able to pick up this support again. Despite my mum's memory issues, she had a good emotional memory about this person and was open to having support again. It has made a real difference to all of us knowing someone regularly can come by and help my mum go out to places or sort things out that she needs. The PA is never patronising and very generous with her interest in my mum's life, interests and knowledge. The office support has also been great, very amenable and flexible to what my mum needs week to week. Highly recommend their service!

I have been with York Personal Support since 2017. A really great service that puts me at the centre of care planning. I would thoroughly recommend their service as I am always treated with respect and given a very reliable service.

The ladies are very competent, lovely and friendly and are making such a difference to my life. I have a severely broken ankle meaning I can't walk or do anything really without help. It makes all the difference to my life to have someone come 5 days a week to clear up the mess I've made during the
day, shop for anything I need and do my washing and ironing.
I can thoroughly recommend this care supporter for their fine help, reliability and kindness.

I have never had any complaints about the organisation. The manager of this agency is very flexible and listens carefully to what clients have to say.

I've been a service user of York Personal Support for over 6 years and I've worked with several members of the staff during that time. I've never once had a bad experience with the company in any way! I think the management is on a level unmatched by any other provider! They have always done their
utmost to meet my needs, if I ever needed any assistance with arranging support at short notice, I know they would do everything in their power. The company is extremely client-orientated, you can tell that serious care and consideration have been taken when carers are assigned to support specific clients. I've always felt that I'm receiving such high-quality care from warm and friendly people, and I've always felt incredibly safe, comfortable and fortunate!
York Personal Support are outstanding! I would highly recommend it!

From the initial call through to the matching of Dad’s Personal Assistant (PA) the whole experience has been full of caring, knowledge, empathy and professionalism. All have been so wonderful, listening to our thoughts, hopes and providing reassurance as we moved into the next stage of helping Dad
in his dementia diagnosis, not forgetting supporting Mum too staying safe and happy in their own home. The willingness of Dad’s assigned PA to do whatever is needed to support, was such an added bonus as is her warm and friendly manner. We feel very much in safe hands.

York Personal Support have been utterly flawless with their delivery of care. The support workers they have on board are brilliant: providing deep compassion, practical support, daily living care and so much more. Management is also wonderful. Before coming to YPS I was bounced around different care
agencies and left deeply disappointed by the treatment I received. I am now so grateful to be part of YPS. As a student, it was particularly difficult to find an agency empathic towards the different challenges students, let alone disabled students, can face. YPS are fantastic communicators. I cannot stress enough how crucial that is especially for people like myself with autism/ADHD etc. I have never had carers turn up any later than 20 minutes and never without warning/explanation. Lastly, the social hours have enabled me to get back into the community by myself and as a first-time disabled mum. Special shout-out to one member of staff in particular! Her visits are the highlight of my week. Thank you YPS for everything.

I continue to be deeply impressed by, and grateful for, York Personal Support. The service my son has received has been intelligent, perceptive, respectful and kind. Our family circumstances are extremely difficult and have been for some time. The support person allocated to my son has shown
sensitivity, compassion and understanding. The service was a Godsend during the pandemic and continues to exceed my expectations.

Since becoming a client of York Personal Support, my life has changed dramatically for the better. I feel totally supported by having an experienced and understanding PA. The support from York Personal Support and my PA has normalised and enhanced my quality of life, improving my outlook for the

Following a vehicle accident in September 2017, I suffered severe PTSD, high anxiety and depression. York Personal Support helped me to build and maintain my confidence and stability following my discharge from mainstream mental health service. I would highly recommend their services.

My experience of using this service has been of a high standard in all aspects. Firstly, the initial assessment through to using this service and building the natural rapport, which meant any anxiety was dispersed. This was down to the strong working relationship York Personal Support delivers.

Having been with other care companies, I can say without hesitation that York Personal Support is one of the best in York. They don't do runs, each call is a minimum of an hour, and every client has their own team of personal assistants.
