View Full Details of Lotus Home Care BarnsleyI am very satisfied with all carers that come to me they are very helpful and considerate.
My mum is very happy with the support she gets she likes all her carers. The only thing she has a problem with is receiving personal care from men. If this happens she would decline help. All other times, other than personal care, a male carer is fine. I have phoned about this but it is still happening.
The delivery of my care is very professional and helpful. The only downside is that I sometimes feel that I am not listened to, for example I can take paracetamol that is not prescribed for me, some carers will leave it for me to take when needed others put it out of my reach. If the next carers are late I can be sat in a lot of pain waiting for someone to come.
The carers that come are lovely and friendly. However my wife is left in bed for 12 hrs some days due to calls being late and it's simply not fair and inhumane as she is incontinent and laid there for hours. Sometimes the cares don't even change the bed when it's wet and smelly from her, they have to be told too. We used to get a call if the carers were late and this helped but that stopped. I have debated other companies, but I like this company but things need to be better. Also my wife isn't always dried after a shower properly and this results in sores.
Sometimes we have had to cancel a session with our carers because I've had a hospital appointment, every time we have rung the office to give them plenty of notice however mostly they have it passed the information to the carer who has come to help me unknowingly also we have had to sit waiting for carers to come because they can be over an hour late, when I'm still waiting to get in the shower at 11 o'clock in the morning. It's rather annoying.
Good, helpful staff.
Very good.
Very good .
We used your services at a very difficult time for us. Excellent service provided from management to the care staff. Highly recommended.
We have seen a big change in care since the inclusion of current staff.
Good, reliable level of service.
I have used Lotus Homecare since March this year. Like most service providers it has it's good and bad points. I request that I prefer lady carers to gentlemen although I do understand it's inevitable at times. To be quite honest I have considered finding another service provider but can't be bothered with the hassle of explaining my life and conditions again to complete strangers.
Lotus have provided care since early in the year for my wife, who has Alzheimer's and is housebound. They have provided care within the terms of the contract and generally speaking it has been and is very satisfactory.
All the staff treat me like family. They are very friendly, efficient and adapt to my needs. I feel very cared for.
The staff are all extremely helpful, kind and very accommodating - nothing is too much trouble for them. My mum is well looked after and I can relax in the knowledge she is in safe hands.
From their first visit, we have been impressed by their friendliness and efficiency. We have welcomed them and have looked forward to seeing them.
All members of staff are helpful, clean and tidy at all times. They have all made good connections with their client and are efficient in their service.
We have been using Lotus for over 6 months now and we are very pleased with the service and care provided, staff are caring and professional, any problems are always sorted quickly. We find the staff listen to how we want the care to be delivered and never question anything, they are always happy to help us.
Mum was, and is, very independent and totally against having care but the situation became critical and the decision was made. Right up until it happened, she said she was fine without care. On the first day of care, I arrived an hour later and the improvement was unbelievable; she was sitting up reading, watching the TV with her hair done. This improvement has continued throughout her care and I feel the carers are the main reason she is alive. She loves all of the carers and sees them as new friends. We could not be happier, thank you.
The team look after both my mum 92 and my dad 91, my mum has mobility challenges and my dad has Alzheimer's. The team have been helping with my parents now for 3 months and they have risen to every challenge even as they have changed, from taking my dad to visit my mum in hospital, the cleaner we were using has recently become ill and the care team have now stepped in. We have 2 main carers only both of whom have formed great relationships with my parents and always happy to go above and beyond to help. I cannot speak highly enough of the carers and the company.
