View Full Details of Walfinch OxfordshireWe have dealt with Walfinch since November 2024 and it is a good care company to deal with. The office is efficient and the staff are friendly. The carers are very friendly, professional and on time.
I had to find a carer to help look after my 97 year old mum and to give me a break. This was daunting as it was not something I was familiar with, mum was unwell and quite frail at the time. After contacting several care agencies and following a recommendation I found Walfinch Oxfordshire. I could not be more satisfied they are everything I could want from a care provider. The office staff are helpful, flexible, friendly, they check regularly that mum is happy with the care provided and that I am happy with the service. The carers first met mum so she could get to know them. They are wonderful, kind, caring, great company for mum because they genuinely care how she is. They provide everything that mum or I need from them. They are also professional at all times, knowledgable, trustworthy and reliable. Both mum and I think very highly of the help and support we currently receive from Walfinch. It is excellent and I highly recommend this care agency. They truly care.
The visiting carers are lovely. They are very reliable, responsive to need, caring and helpful. Managers have also been very helpful. They have quickly responded to any queries and have kept in contact to check how the support is going.
I am very pleased with the care my mother in law has received from Walfinch. They are friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs both as a family and to the client. They have made changes to her care to ensure that her needs are best met and I would definitely recommend them.
The reason I haven't given 5 stars is I haven't met the carer myself. Everyone was very helpful to me in organising the care. My brother-in-law seems very happy with the carer who helps him. This is reassuring for me to know that everything is going well.
The carers visit my wife twice week, they are prompt, polite, and make her go for a walk or do puzzles And attend to her for the two hours they spend with her. It makes her talk to others beside her family members, which is good as she suffers with traumatic anxiety and depression. This helps give me a break for those hours where I can go shopping or meet a friend for coffee, Walfinch are excellent at sending me the program of the carers visits along with the time schedule. Anything I wish to change they are so helpful and accommodating with my wishes. They keep regular contact with follow up reviews by phone to check how things are working out for us.. I have no hesitation in recommending Walfinch as a very professionally run company that sets high standards in the caring world, which we all need today Thank you and all your carers for a top class service.
Walfinch is professional, with good reporting systems, responsive and courteous staff in the office, and carers that fulfil their brief in the care plan with kindness and efficiency. The brief creation document was a bit clunky to work to. It has been a relief to have Walfinch look out for our brother in the last 2/3 months.
A very excellent care provider, no complaints. The care team are very professional and completely understand the carers needs and provides dignity. The care team always asks if I'm taking my correct medication eating sufficiently sleeping and always asks about my well-being.
I wanted to say thank you so much to two particular members of staff who have set up amazing care for my parents. My Mum is so happy with Nikki and looks forward to her visits. It is giving me peace of mind that somebody is there to provide help and support. My father is also happy he can now go out and about with his carer. Thank you
We have been very pleased either Walfinch Home Care staff. They are obviously well trained and arrive and leave on time. They are sensitive yet understanding in dealing with a friend with dementia and hsppy to do small jobs if necessary. They arrive and leave on time. Also the office staff are accommodating when special requests are made to fit in with arrangements.
Very pleased with the care of my mum. The carer's are very professional, treat her with respect and always chatter with her and gets a smile out of her. Very happy with all the carer's Weather we are there or not we no she is being looked after
Mum broke her hip on the 27th of December. Walfinch responded really well to the change in care requirements on her discharge from hospital, adding extra overnight care at very short notice. Communications always considerate, caring but pragmatic and responsive to the rapidly changing needs.
Highly recommend Walfinch. Carers are kind and caring and totally professional caring for my husband. The office staff and management are polite, friendly and totally efficient. I feel we are in safe hands.
Walfinch have been caring for my mother who has advanced dementia for over 6 years and I can honestly say that they always go above the norm to ensure my Mum is treated with respect and is well cared for. Walfinch has always included my Dad providing support where needed to deal with his wife's illness. This support is gradually being increased as Dad's physical needs have also increased. I would not hesitate to recommend Walfinch as a care company to support your loved ones at home.
Professional team who are very kind and caring. My mother enjoys her visits and they support her independence and also provide me with peace of mind. Team were fantastic in supporting her and me after an accident and helping her recover.
All the carers that have come to us are caring, kind, and efficient. We get a weekly schedule which if we have good reason we can alter. We use the carers both as assistance and once a fortnight as companionship.
My mother suffers from dementia and lives with me at home; she is bedbound and her behaviour can be challenging. I asked Walfinch to provide a live-in carer recently while I went on holiday. I was very impressed by the detailed risk assessment they undertook prior to the placement. The care manager was compassionate and professional and made several helpful suggestions to improve her quality of care (e.g. arranging occupational therapy and mental health team reviews, fire service and health and safety assessments). The Walfinch carer was the best carer we have had. She was very experienced with a detailed understanding of dementia. She was kind, calm, patient and gentle with my mother at all times. She coped extremely well on the more difficult days. We had an additional carer coming in twice daily to help during pad changes and they all reported back in very positive terms. I have already booked with Walfinch for my next break and cannot recommend this company highly enough.
I cannot praise the team highly enough with the speed and the efficiency to enable my mum to spend her last days in her own home, as was her wish. Everyone came together and all the equipment was in place and she was in her own home with a live in carer within a week. All the staff were very caring, friendly and helpful. As a family we were very touched that mums live in carer also came to her funeral, that meant a lot to us. It was a horrible and difficult time for us all but we were guided and helped by Walfinch Oxfordshire and we will always be extremely grateful that they enabled mum to be in her own home. First class service in a stressful time. Thank you.
Walfinch cared for my elderly friend, who needed a live-in carer for over a year, as she did not want to leave her home for over 50 years. The carers were wonderful, kind, considerate and hardworking. The house had become neglected and they turned it back into a warm welcoming place where my friend had a good life right to the end. The agency itself had to overcome a number of challenges but always put my friend front and centre. I cannot fault their care and to quote my friend 'I think I have been very lucky' in relation to having such good care in her own home.
Walfinch Oxfordshire is an extremely professional care provider, they took time to understand Dad's needs when we first met in June 2023. I was personally introduced to Dad's live-in carer before I collected him from the hospice. At all times, she had Dad's best interests at heart, providing him with respectful care and demonstrating compassion and empathy in all her interactions with him. She would take him to his favourite places or his appointments, which made things easier for us and allowed us to have more quality time with him. As Dad deteriorated, she would keep us updated and let us know if anything else was required, which again provided us with comfort that Dad was being well looked after. When a second carer was required, this was organised with the minimum of fuss, which was most appreciated. We feel lucky that we had this support for Dad's last 16 weeks.
