Ultima took over from a previous company's, I can't speak highly enough of them, from the very beginning the team have been kind, professional and genuinely caring, knowing my loved one is in safe, capable hands has brought real peace of mind to our family, I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a trust worthy, high quality care delivered by people who go above and beyond.
Since Ultima have been helping care for mum, they have been nothing but professional, kind and extremely caring. They have also helped the family adjust to the many changes we are going through. They take time to chat to her whilst performing the many tasks to look after her. The kindness they also showed recently when mum was hospitalised due to an infection was really touching always asking after her when I called to cancel calls as she wasn't let out when expected.
Lovely ladies at Ultima. Very friendly and always smiling . They have forged a great relationship with my brother (which isn't always easy as he suffers with huge anxieties). Always happy to help. He likes it when they have time for a cuppa and a chat.
We started using ultima when mum moved in with me the visiting staff are really accommodating and helpful they help with showering daily, dressing undressing putting to bed and meds. I'm happy to work and leave her in their good care all the girls know mum and she loves to have a little chat too as she's grown to know them quite well now, The office staff are also helpful and try to accommodate any last minute extra calls if required . I couldn't ask for more of any of them.
I have been very pleased since Ultima Care Nursing Ltd have been in charge of mums complex care needs. They have been professional, respectful, courteous and kind towards mum from the beginning. They take the time to get to know her by chatting over a cup of tea and cake which she absolutely loves. They manage her doctor and hospital appointments with ease and also treat her to a chippy on the way home, if she's not too worn out! All in all, great team work to this company as my mum and our family could not be happier and more thankful that you are the ones that are caring for her.
You staff were superb, caring and kind putting my wife's needs at the foremost in their job with a smile on their faces and also allowed me the time to take our dog Frankie out for a walk whilst they were there.
From the first day Ultima Care and her wonderful team started helping our Mum, we knew we'd made the right decision for her care. As the months and years went on and Mum's needs changed, the carers were always there, giving and showing Mum respect, kindness and patience every day. They and her team have always been there for us too, the family, when things got really hard, especially towards the end of Mum's life. We can't thank them enough, as they enabled mum to have her wish to die at home. They were there at the end, helping her be suitably dressed for her journey onward. We couldn't have managed without them.
We were in a very bad place when your knights in shining armour swept in! Your ladies were always punctual, always cheerful. Completely sensitive to my husband's needs. They are professional and highly skilled. I don't know where I would have been without them. Whatever they are paid it's not enough. Thank you ladies
We have been using Kare Plus for a couple of months now and what a breath of fresh air they have been. Our previous care provider let us down constantly with no shows but the ladies from Kare Plus are prompt, reliable and very caring. We have care for 12hrs a day, covering personal care, medication daily chores, so it is extremely important that they fit in with family life, which they do perfectly and they help keep grandma as independent as she can be whilst ensuring she is safe and well looked after. They assist with hospital and doctors appointments and now the weather is improving they will be going for days out. We are very grateful to them and can highly recommend them to anyone thinking of having home care.
Sometimes the girls come early and thats ok with me. I like going out with my carers. The carers help and support me and take me to my appointments. My old company wasn't as good as Kare Plus. I am glad I am with them.
All your people are kind and responsive and we have no adverse situations at all.
A detailed survey was conducted before the respite care began, during which it was stressed that my wife, who has Alzheimer's and who is a retired teacher who used to love reading, is no longer able to read. Therefore it would be very useful if any carer provided by you would be able to read to my wife. In the 10 or so weeks that carers have visited not one, (of the four), was prepared to read. I asked each what they might do, and each suggested cleaning/ironing. I showed them what cleaning might be done, the most frequent carer performed perfunctory cleaning and on her last visit refused to do dusting because she said that I had not mentioned dusting, and it was not for my wife to task her. She also did no cleaning in the bathroom, although I had specified this. All in all, the service has proved most unsatisfactory, and to send four different carers to stay with a person with Alzheimer's appears to me to be extremely unprofessional.
KarePlus Ashford, Folkestone and Hythe - This is our first time with needing care for my mum, so we are in unchartered territory, however, the team at KarePlus Ashford, Folkestone and Hythe have been great, right from the outset. The initial assessment happened within a day and the support package followed promptly after that. The Carers are genuinely caring, which was a great relief, as I know this isn't always the case in this industry. During a very rare GP visit, one of the Carers kindly chipped in with additional comments, and requests (as she clearly had a lot of experience), for which we are extremely grateful. This meant we got more support from the GP than we would have otherwise. Thank you!
Kare Plus consists of a very approachable, helpful and supportive team of people. I feel everybody fully listens and understands with compassion, which I have found invaluable. They do go above and beyond. We haven't experienced any issues with the carers or the care provided.
I am 73 and able to do most things. I am lucky enough to have a housekeeper thanks to my caring daughter, but I am very grateful when they do anything that is needed to be done in the house. But mainly the girls take my dog for a walk, If she will go. She is in the last of her 'staffy' life span, unfortunately. Often one of the girls gets her down the end of the road. and 'Angel' makes it pretty obvious that she wants to come back. She won't go out of the door If it even smells like it might rain! I prefer to have one particular lady, when she can come. At my age, I find it difficult to have a meaningful conversation with the younger girls. But they all do a wonderful job!
The team are wonderful and really do show care and compassion on many levels. They are professional and reliable and very trustworthy. I would highly recommend Kare Plus to anyone who was needing to put trust in people to look after their loved ones always. Thank you very much to each and every one of you who constantly go above and beyond to help their clients.
Overall, I would say that Mum's ongoing experience of Kare Plus has been very good. The carers turn up when they should, and are always helpful and polite, cooking Mum her lunch and sometimes helping to prepare a meal for later in the day. They also do a bit of ironing and hoovering as necessary. Dealing with the Field Care Administrator in the office is always a pleasure, especially given we sometimes have to make changes/cancellations. The rotas are always sent out in time for me to advise Mum which carer she is having in advance (important to her given she is blind). The only minor negative I would point out is that Mum sometimes has to get acquainted with new carers that she is not familiar with as staff change at Kare Plus.
My mum has had excellent care from all of the team at Kareplus, my mum loves chatting with the carers and nothing is too much trouble for them. A big thank you to everyone at Kareplus for everything that they are doing for my mum!
Kare Plus could not have looked after my dad any better. They were kind, helpful, compassionate and met all of his care needs while maintaining his dignity and respect at all times. In addition to this, they were there for me. Nothing was too much trouble and always were respectful and showed kindness. Even the out-of-hours checked in with me during my dad’s final days. I would not recommend Kare Plus highly enough.
