You staff were superb, caring and kind putting my wife's needs at the foremost in their job with a smile on their faces and also allowed me the time to take our dog Frankie out for a walk whilst they were there.

From the first day Ultima Care and her wonderful team started helping our Mum, we knew we'd made the right decision for her care. As the months and years went on and Mum's needs changed, the carers were always there, giving and showing Mum respect, kindness and patience every day.
They and her team
have always been there for us too, the family, when things got really hard, especially towards the end of Mum's life.
We can't thank them enough, as they enabled mum to have her wish to die at home. They were there at the end, helping her be suitably dressed for her journey onward.
We couldn't have managed without them.

Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. It means a great deal to the whole team. The carers and office staff were truly honoured to support your mum and your family throughout. I've shared this with the team.

We were in a very bad place when your knights in shining armour swept in! Your ladies were always punctual, always cheerful. Completely sensitive to my husband's needs.
They are professional and highly skilled.
I don't know where I would have been without them.
Whatever they are paid it's not enough.
Thank
you ladies

We have been using Kare Plus for a couple of months now and what a breath of fresh air they have been. Our previous care provider let us down constantly with no shows but the ladies from Kare Plus are prompt, reliable and very caring.
We have care for 12hrs a day, covering personal care, medication
daily chores, so it is extremely important that they fit in with family life, which they do perfectly and they help keep grandma as independent as she can be whilst ensuring she is safe and well looked after. They assist with hospital and doctors appointments and now the weather is improving they will be going for days out.
We are very grateful to them and can highly recommend them to anyone thinking of having home care.

Sometimes the girls come early and thats ok with me. I like going out with my carers. The carers help and support me and take me to my appointments. My old company wasn't as good as Kare Plus. I am glad I am with them.

A detailed survey was conducted before the respite care began, during which it was stressed that my wife, who has Alzheimer's and who is a retired teacher who used to love reading, is no longer able to read. Therefore it would be very useful if any carer provided by you would be able to read to my wife.
In the 10 or so weeks that carers have visited not one, (of the four), was prepared to read. I asked each what they might do, and each suggested cleaning/ironing. I showed them what cleaning might be done, the most frequent carer performed perfunctory cleaning and on her last visit refused to do dusting because she said that I had not mentioned dusting, and it was not for my wife to task her. She also did no cleaning in the bathroom, although I had specified this.
All in all, the service has proved most unsatisfactory, and to send four different carers to stay with a person with Alzheimer's appears to me to be extremely unprofessional.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are deeply concerned about your recent experience and regret that our services did not meet your expectations. At Kare Plus, we take all feedback very seriously, and your comments highlight areas for improvement. Rest assured, we are taking immediate steps to address the concerns raised. We are reviewing the care provided during the respite period and will be meeting with the team involved to discuss this further and ensure it does not happen again. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we have sent you a more detailed survey to gather additional insights. Your feedback is vital to helping us make lasting improvements. We sincerely apologise for any distress caused and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are dedicated to resolving this issue and upholding the high standards we strive for. KarePlus Ashford, Folkestone and Hythe - This is our first time with needing care for my mum, so we are in unchartered territory, however, the team at KarePlus Ashford, Folkestone and Hythe have been great, right from the outset. The initial assessment happened within a day and the support package followed
promptly after that. The Carers are genuinely caring, which was a great relief, as I know this isn't always the case in this industry. During a very rare GP visit, one of the Carers kindly chipped in with additional comments, and requests (as she clearly had a lot of experience), for which we are extremely grateful. This meant we got more support from the GP than we would have otherwise. Thank you!

Kare Plus consists of a very approachable, helpful and supportive team of people.
I feel everybody fully listens and understands with compassion, which I have found invaluable. They do go above and beyond.
We haven't experienced any issues with the carers or the care provided.

I am 73 and able to do most things. I am lucky enough to have a housekeeper thanks to my caring daughter, but I am very grateful when they do anything that is needed to be done in the house. But mainly the girls take my dog for a walk, If she will go. She is in the last of her 'staffy' life span, unfortunately.
Often one of the girls gets her down the end of the road. and 'Angel' makes it pretty obvious that she wants to come back.
She won't go out of the door If it even smells like it might rain!
I prefer to have one particular lady, when she can come.
At my age, I find it difficult to have a meaningful conversation with the younger girls. But they all do a wonderful job!

Overall, I would say that Mum's ongoing experience of Kare Plus has been very good. The carers turn up when they should, and are always helpful and polite, cooking Mum her lunch and sometimes helping to prepare a meal for later in the day. They also do a bit of ironing and hoovering as necessary. Dealing
with the Field Care Administrator in the office is always a pleasure, especially given we sometimes have to make changes/cancellations. The rotas are always sent out in time for me to advise Mum which carer she is having in advance (important to her given she is blind). The only minor negative I would point out is that Mum sometimes has to get acquainted with new carers that she is not familiar with as staff change at Kare Plus.

Thank you for your kind review, we will pass this on to our care team & office team immediately, we will also have a think in the office about your point about how we can introduce any new care staff more proactively.

Kare Plus could not have looked after my dad any better. They were kind, helpful, compassionate and met all of his care needs while maintaining his dignity and respect at all times. In addition to this, they were there for me. Nothing was too much trouble and always were respectful and showed kindness.
Even the out-of-hours checked in with me during my dad’s final days. I would not recommend Kare Plus highly enough.

We have had a very good service from the Kare Plus team from all contacts and carers. My daughter responds well to the carers and enjoys her time with them. Carers are usually on time, unless delayed by a previous client. They listen to instructions and waste no time getting to work on arrival. They
will do that little bit extra without asking which helps me a lot.

I am new to care provision for my husband so was in the dark about what exactly to expect! My assigned carer arrived early and cheerfully introduced herself. She was relaxed and smiley and respectfully asked to be shown around the ground floor rooms she would be using so that she had an understanding
of the layout. Her manner was totally professional. She offered to give him his lunch to relieve me of the task and assured me she would find plenty to do while sitting with him and was even happy to watch TV with him. I couldn't have asked for a nicer, kinder person to be in the house... and she had even washed up the lunch things for me when I got home! What a treat! Receiving that level of professional care meant that I could go out for the afternoon knowing that my husband was being cared for completely.

The support for my mother has been invaluable. Having a friendly face visiting once a day enables us to be reassured that all is well and also enables Mum to maintain as much independence as she wants.
Any requests for additional support have been dealt with in a kind, caring and efficient way and
we feel no question is a silly question. Mum has been supported to attend medical appointments and enjoys having the company.
Thank you to the manager and all the team for your help and kindness.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.824 for Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (117 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 131 Ratings = 4.824

From Humble Beginnings to Leading With Purpose

I began this journey in 2016 with a simple vision: to raise the bar in care. Alongside my Recruitment Manager at the time, Matt Stacey, we started as a team of two. Today, that vision has grown into a thriving family of over 160 dedicated professionals — including 60+ care staff and a passionate office team — supporting over 100 clients and settings across Kent.

Rooted in Kent, Driven by Values

Now proudly operating as Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd, we’ve become more than just a care provider — we're a trusted part of the community in Ashford, Folkestone, and surrounding areas. With over 100 glowing reviews on Homecare.co.uk, we’ve consistently been recognised as one of the region’s highest-rated providers, and we continue to build on that reputation every day.

Professional Standards, Personal Commitment

This business has always been personal. Providing great care isn’t just what we do — it’s who we are. Every service we deliver is grounded in our core values of respect, dignity, and compassion. Ultima Care is not just a company name; it’s a promise to every person and family we support.

Thank you for being part of the journey so far — we’re only just getting started.
