Since joining Kare Plus we have been very pleased with the carers and the responses of office staff when there has been a problem. I feel well supported.

My sister has dementia but is still (currently) able to live in her own home with support from the carers. As I live 180 miles away, this is a great help to me. I know she is well supported and that Kare Plus will contact me if they have any concerns - which is priceless!

My husband is paralysed down his left side and needs a hoist to help him in and out of bed. All the carers have been kind and careful of his dignity. I am most impressed with the staff.

All the carers are polite and treat me with dignity. If they have been before, they know my routine, but if new, they let me explain what I require, all with no rush.
We usually have coffee/tea and a chat afterwards.

My disabled dad stayed with us whilst my mum was having an operation. The carers came in daily to help Dad with his intimate care and get dressed/undressed etc. They were so caring with him. He looked forward to seeing them every day and they were very professional, thoughtful and kind. Having carers
allows my dad to preserve his dignity and gave us the confidence his needs were met whilst he was staying with us. We are so grateful to the team and the Field Care Coordinator was amazing at overseeing it all. We will definitely use Kare Plus again and would highly recommend to anyone needing carers for loved ones.

We are extremely happy with the wonderful care from Kare Plus. Everyone is so helpful, considerate and kind. My mother of 97 loves her daily visits and there is always plenty of time for a friendly chat.
On a more practical note, the administration is impeccable and there is never a problem with a
last minute change of schedule.
I will be very happy to highly recommend Kare Plus to anyone who is looking for quality carers.

The service provided is professional and provided by caring, lovely people who put the client and those supporting the client first. They are considerate and helpful and whilst caring for my dad 94, also provide great support to my mum 92. The carers have become part of the family. Great support from
the office staff. All round great service from dedicated professionals. Well done team!

Absolutely amazing service with very professional, caring attitude and a very personal touch to our daughter's care needs. This company is by far the best we have used. The staff are friendly and helpful and I know they have my and her interests at heart.
They also offer good value for money compared
to other companies.
We greatly appreciate the same team of carers as this provides reassurance for my daughter and continuity. She has established lovely relationships with the carers and is well looked after. The carers are always willing to go the extra mile and we cannot fault the care she is receiving. The Head Office team and the out-of-hours team are always very prompt in notifying us of any concerns or changes.

My parents, aged 84 and 92, want to remain in their own home, even though they both have dementia. This has been a challenging situation. However, they are achieving a great level of independence with daily support from family, and early evening visits from the carers from the Kare Plus team. The carers
are warm and friendly. They check that my parents are safe and well, and that their dog has food and water. They help with the evening meal and medication. Evenings can be an even more difficult time for people suffering with memory loss. To see a happy friendly face and have some light conversation is great.
For my part, I know that Kare Plus will contact me if they are concerned about anything at all during a visit.
I'm sent a weekly timesheet, and I'm warned in advance of any changes that may need to happen to the visit times.
Kare Plus are helping me, to help my parents, to remain as independent as possible. Thank you!

The person Kare Plus sent to us was young and it was her first job. And I think she was way over her head whilst dealing with a dementia patient. And she made a simple mistake which showed she had little to no idea of how deal with a dementia patient.

Our carer was absolutely fantastic. She had such a report with my wife - she would show my wife family photos. She also washed her hair, cut her nails and sing to her.
There is nothing more I could have wanted than that level of care.

My parents had managed to live independently in their own home until their mid to late 90s, but by Autumn 2022 it became apparent they were in need of additional care and support. We cannot speak highly enough of Kare Plus, from the initial visit to assess their needs, to the provision of carers to
support them on a daily basis, the office staff in the management of rotas and quickly allocating additional visits when needed, to the communication and billing process. From being fiercely independent, my parents soon came to trust their carers to deal with their needs, including personal care. The carers were so friendly, considerate and respectful, and it was really great to have the same staff visiting on a regular basis, enabling my parents to build a relationship with them. Thank you to everyone at Kare Plus for enabling my parents to stay in their own home for as long as possible. It really was a 5-star service.

The people who have come to help my partner and me have been helpful, willing to do a variety of jobs, both inside and outside the house, it has been a pleasure to have them here, but there have been several instances when I have been waiting for them to come and I have been let down. There could have
been better communication from the office staff.

All the staff at Kare Plus Ashford, have been friendly and helpful. My mother-in-law needed help in the mornings with washing, dressing and being made breakfast and a cuppa of tea. The care staff did this with a smile, also helping with anything else she needed, including finding time to sit and have
a chat. My mother-in-law really looked forward to her morning visits. The office staff have also been extremely helpful, easy to talk to and friendly. Kare Plus gave us an excellent service and I can't rate them high enough. Thank you.

All the carers who looked after my husband were absolutely wonderful with him until he sadly passed away. They were respectful and treated him as a person. Not only did they care for my husband, but me too.

Mum was reluctant to accept care, however, the manager from Kare Plus came out and spoke to her and she agreed. She now actually looks forward to the girls coming in and chatting with them. I know she will be well cared for, her needs met and it's different people for my mum, who used to be very sociable,
to chat to which she really enjoys.
Fantastic service, reliable and very caring.
Would definitely recommend.

I have been using Kare Plus since the beginning of the year for my mum’s morning care needs. Following a stroke in May, my mum’s need increased greatly. Kare Plus was able to make an initial increase swiftly to enable my mum to come back home from hospital and continue to support her needs.
Above
all, the staff we have dealt with are professional and treat my mum with care and dignity. Not making her feel she is just someone to be sorted and off to the next. They have also helped to support me in the admin side of care provision and are approachable when I have needed help.
I recommend Kare Plus for its excellent service and team.

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

From Humble Beginnings to Leading With Purpose

I began this journey in 2016 with a simple vision: to raise the bar in care. Alongside my Recruitment Manager at the time, Matt Stacey, we started as a team of two. Today, that vision has grown into a thriving family of over 160 dedicated professionals — including 60+ care staff and a passionate office team — supporting over 100 clients and settings across Kent.

Rooted in Kent, Driven by Values

Now proudly operating as Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd, we’ve become more than just a care provider — we're a trusted part of the community in Ashford, Folkestone, and surrounding areas. With over 100 glowing reviews on Homecare.co.uk, we’ve consistently been recognised as one of the region’s highest-rated providers, and we continue to build on that reputation every day.

Professional Standards, Personal Commitment

This business has always been personal. Providing great care isn’t just what we do — it’s who we are. Every service we deliver is grounded in our core values of respect, dignity, and compassion. Ultima Care is not just a company name; it’s a promise to every person and family we support.

Thank you for being part of the journey so far — we’re only just getting started.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum to two wonderful children aged 17 and 12, and we share our home with a lovable little pug who keeps us smiling. I’m very much a people person — I love family time, discovering beautiful places, and meeting new faces wherever I go.
