View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Folkestone)I have no fault with my carer, in fact, the help and support that she gives me is second to none. In fact, I would say excellent, as I have shared with my friends. No job is too small. A very helpful, friendly, and genuine person. She has undertaken every job I have asked.
I look forward to the carers coming, they are always friendly and very helpful, and it's nice to be able to have a chat with them if they have time at the end of their time with me.
I like most of the girls and get on well with them and the lady in the office. They are fantastic.
All staff are usually punctual, have a good rapport with the client and are very helpful, not afraid to get stuck in. Some do clock watch and rush away, but that's the general gist, as they are usually rushing to another client.
.Helping Hands was chosen by our Daughter and what a good choice she made .The general idea was to take hubby out for coffee just twice a week , allowing me to get some undisturbed sleep without the worry of him going walkabout. Although he became weaker and didn't want to go out he is very happy to have the company to chat to, watch a bit of sport or old films with and I can still manage to get some sleep. To be able to really switch off and sleep deeply is wonderful and all the ladies and one man who have visited are so friendly and confident I can honestly say I never have the slightest concern with leaving him in their excellent care. I also look forward to their visits, a little chat when they arrive and another before they leave is a boost for me and any questions I might have relating to day to day caring they are always happy to help me work through. I am always singing their praises and have suggested the company to other family carers that I know.
The main home care helper for my husband has been the weekly home helper from late April to mid July, and both my husband and I want to give a big thumbs up to her. We hope she receives the credit within the organisation that she deserves - she's competent, cheery and pretty punctual . On the few occasions when she hasn't been able to attend her replacement was not up to her standard. We have asked to have her back when we resume the visits in late September. On the admin team side, we appreciated the fast response when we first contacted the local Folkstone office , who carried out the initial assessment, then setting up of my husband's account and then commencement of the visits.
I am writing on behalf of my parents who are in their late eighties. When my father fractured his hip over Christmas 2024 we employed Helping Hands (Folkestone) to support my mother at home as my father was her main carer. We continued with visits for the next five months whilst my father was convalescing at home. We gradually reduced the support as my father recovered until it was no longer needed. From the initial meeting to the final visit Helping Hands were excellent. They were able to guide us as a family through what was new ground, and were always up front and clear about charges. My parents main carer was always kind, considerate and caring. She built up a really good relationship with them over time. Their personal approach was flexible and accommodating to changing needs. I cannot recommend them enough. We will certainly call Helping Hands again should my parents need support in the future.
Sometimes in your life you come across people who make a difference. Helping hands are the difference in my mum's little world. All the wonderful carers give mum all the love care and attention she needs and deserves every single visit, every single day. Every challenge we face, every new change and extra care is integrated into mum's visits immediately. The communication is exceptional. I live without worry, knowing mum, who is now nearing the end of her life, will have had the best care any daughter could ever wish for for their mum. Helping hands were the same for my late father which is why they were immediately contacted when mum started to need help and support and then as mum has deteriorated, we now have an extensive and comprehensive care support package keeping her safe and looked after.. So thank you all, for being so wonderful, truly caring, kind, attentive and very much part of mum's life.
Without exception, all the Helping Hands have been professional, caring and reliable. My husband's final months were eased by the consistency of the care and friendliness of the carers. Timekeeping was excellent on the whole and the carers were also excellent to me, always a query as to how I was and given a shoulder to cry on. Without Helping Hands it would have been impossible to care for him at home. I am forever grateful.
Hello, I am almost 84 years of age and am suffering from osteoarthritis in the knees and feet and more recently a fall involving a left shoulder dislocation plus fracture in April 2022. As I prefer to go out to do my shopping etc it was recommended that I make use of care facilities such as Helping Hands Home Care (Folkestone) to cover a range of health matters. I was given two care slots during the week and when I asked for two more I was told care staff were not available so I ended up with two further visits from another organisation. Very many thanks to Helping Hands Home Care (Folkestone) for their support.
Helping Hands is what it says on the box. Unfailingly cheerful, capable young ladies, lift my spirits, do whatever is needed to leave me relaxed and confident. Official matters are dealt with in the same friendly, efficient manner. I am very happy to have found them.
