View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Clevedon)I have always found the members of Helping Hand staff who visit my wife to be friendly helpful and competent, they are also punctual arriving within a few minuets of the time shown on the rota. It is difficult to comment on the management as I have had little contact with them recently.
I have found the carers very good, helpful and experienced. Willing to help with a variety of jobs. They are friendly and interested without being intrusive. Until recently the problem I have had is that the carers keep changing and have been coming at different times which makes it difficult to plan ahead. For instance I can't arrange a grocery delivery when they are here to help me and I have to show them around each time. This seems to be related to poor management which has recently improved a lot.
Over all I am very satisfied with the care I receive. On the whole I am very happy with all of the carers and when I have had an issue I am pleased to say the problem has been addressed. I would like more regular face to face meetings to review my current care requirements. For example I would prefer to have later start times for my morning visit. And have asked for a start time of 8.30 and no earlier. I do have to keep reminding the team of this request and would prefer if this was documented in my care plan. I would like to thank my carers as they do a very good job, they are always considerate of my needs.
Helping Hands are a fantastic company. Nothing is too much trouble. All the carers are so kind and yes caring - not always the case with other companies. They are really good at communicating with me so I always know immediately if there is a problem. I can't speak highly enough and would not hesitate to recommend.
The overall service that my husband currently receives is consistently good. His present carer is efficient ,kind and understands my husband's needs, and both of us feel confident that they know what they are doing.
Excellent service, she is happy with the care.
Very helpful and pleasant service - carers seem willing to go "extra mile", and turn their hand to what needs doing. Slight glitch recently over time keeping but not actually the carer's fault. So really very satisfied at this point in time with service received.
The carers visits allow mother to continue to reside in her apartment and given her limited mobility these days then this is now a vital service and is much appreciated. The individual cares who visit mother now are liked and trusted by her. The point of contact within the office appears to change quite regularly and the schedule of attendance times can get amended from time to time, occasionally the carer is different to the original one specified too and we are not always notified in this regard. Overall however we are grateful for the service provided and believe it is value for money.
Every carer that comes to me have been very pleasant and helpful. They do everything I ask of them.
The carers are always punctual, polite, pleasant. They do all we ask to a good standard. I would recommend to friends. I believe that my review adequately explains my opinion of the service we are receiving.
The staff are always very helpful and friendly and my Mother would not be able to stay at home without the care we get. Helping Hands have been easy to contact in last few months and flexible with our needs.
We are really happy with Helping Hands. We have had you for a few years and have never had any concerns. All the carers we have regularly are very nice, especially one in particular. We are very happy with the company and the service.
I am very happy with Helping Hands. I have 24 hour living care which is fantastic for me to live an independent life. I have really caring carers who go above and beyond for me. I have Cerebral Palsy which has effected me from the neck downwards so the carer has to do everything for me which I really appreciate their hard work. I love going out a lot in my car which my carers drive for me. I really get well looked after.
It will be good when I have regular carers, at the moment I have a mixed bag. Overall, the carers are very good and helpful, meaning that I can manage to stay in my own home.
I love having people visit. I really enjoy the days when I go out. I couldn't do that without their help. I enjoy getting support from familiar faces too, my regular carer is wonderful.
Good service received from all carers They are very sensitive to my privacy and very helpful with treatment. that I need regularly. They arrive on time, and always enquire about my needs for that session. Extremely polite and courteous. Always dressed in clean uniform and wears protective gloves when applying creams.
There has been a recent change in the management at the Clevedon office and I am pleased to say that at last things seem to be moving in the right direction. I have spoken to the manager and she has taken on board all my concerns in respect of my wife's care so I am hopeful that things will how improve. The care that my wife receives has been good and if the usual team of carers attend on the majority of occasions then she will be very happy.
Generally, happy with the care and carers. The communication could be better something emails not responded would like more regularity with the same carer. However, the carer / people have always come across well to me and my parents seem happy with the support.
My care is bubbly, friendly, very helpful and chatty, and we have a good conversation.
My mother really enjoys her visits, she loves the company more than anything. Getting to know new people when you are elderly and don't go out much is difficult. The visits provide mental stimulus and happiness. I find that the communication with the care team is efficient and friendly which is especially important to me as I live abroad.
