View Full Details of Eleanor Nursing & Social Care Ltd - BristolMy poor mum was diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer's in 2023 and due to her memory loss, required support at home with her medications and ensuring a hot meal was prepared. Social Services organised a care provider and Eleanor Care provided the home service for my mum. The carers looking after mum are polite and kind and some of them went above and beyond to ensure my mum received the care she needed. Mum's condition has worsened sadly and her care package changed suddenly and we had to move to another care provider unfortunately. We were very sad to be leaving Eleanor Care. Thank you for everything you did for mum.
Eleanor welcomed me to the company when my carers stopped their business. They have been caring for me since - personal care and light household tasks. I am pleased with the care I receive.
Everything is working good at the minute, very happy with all the carers that have been coming to help me.
Eleanor Care are easy to access, professional and helpful. I can pop in the office if I have a query and am always welcomed. The carers follow the care plan and have built up good relationships with Mum. She was reluctant at first, but now welcomes their visits and looks forward to seeing them. The office are helpful and flexible, doing their best to accommodate the best for the client.
The majority of carers were very kind + understood mum's needs. Time keeping was good but mum never received the full time that was funded even when the company asked the L.A. to increase hours - on increase that was rarely used. Tasks marked as complete on the app were not. Some carers (despite being asked to stop) carried out tasks i.e dressing, applying cream, whilst mum was going to the toilet - lack of dignity. I felt the management team did not welcome any concerns raised about the service and were quite intimidating in their relationship with us.
Service is usually good with a few odd occasions where is not 100% but usually over 80% on time. I have no complaints about the staff and care given. Professionalism at all times.
Overall experiene could of been excellent all bar a few that let it down. Staff was very good extremely helpful and polite also applies to management there are quite a few carers that are extremely outstanding and just a small minority that let the side down.
All the young ladies who come are polite, competent and friendly. They take away the stress and worry of getting my husband showered and dressed. They come on time and are efficient but never pushy or impatient.
We were reassured when we organised Mum's care visits that all visits would be on time at the times that we had asked for. The time keeping is appalling. We are lucky if anyone arrives within two hours of the scheduled call time. Don't believe any of the false promises that you get given, find a more trustworthy company. We have had temporary care given by 3 other organisations before, none were without slight problems but none were the nightmare that Eleanor care is.
