My grandmother has dementia, lives alone and the basic level of care provided has been terrible. Having worked in the industry, 15 years plus, I am saddened to say that my gran has been neglected and abused by this company. I felt that I was phoning every other day to ask for basic care needs such
as being washed or properly fed. Made to feel like a nuisance. Asked if my gran could have hot meals instead of just toast for dinner. Door left unlocked overnight, security risk. My gran is incontinent, but remained in the same skirt day after day, continually for 6 days and 2 nights, which is over 96 hours. Body not properly washed every day. Clothes also not washed so the house stank of urine and dirty clothes everywhere. When I did complain, I was shouted at by the office person and told that the carers do a good job and why should they go back for silly things. Manager asked me for a second chance, which I gave but with no improvement. Switched to a better company.
