The carers from Cresta Healthcare were superbly caring towards my dear mum-in-law in her last weeks of life.
Mum's illness was three months from diagnosis and her decline from an extremely independent and active pillar of her community was swift.
Whilst not chosen directly by us, as their care
came 'funded' via a hospice, they were an excellent choice.
We decided that Covid restrictions in a hospice would have been too much to bear, and would not have allowed us to be hands-on and totally there for Mum to the end. Cresta's help allowed us to keep Mum at home, which were calmer surroundings, with as many visitors as we wanted, until her death.
Mum's care was such that, in the last few days, the carers visited four times a day to ensure Mum maintained her dignity.
Thank you Cresta, we would have struggled without you.
