View full details of Right at Home (Nottingham North)My Dad has care visits twice a day to help my Mum with the daily tasks such as bathing, and changing bedsheets etc. From day one, the care was completely different from the other two care companies we have used previously, where Dad was just a number. They wanted to know all about my Dad as a person - his hobbies and interests - which meant the carers always have something to chat to Mum and Dad about. It feels like Dad is truly cared about by everyone that visits him, and by the management team. They have done everything they can to learn about Dad's additional requirements and his Parkinson's-specific symptoms. They also go the extra mile sharing time schedules so Mum and Dad know exactly when they will be visiting each day. A very well managed and organised, and really caring company, I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
I would like to drop you a line to say a very big thank you for the wonderful care I received after my shoulder replacement surgery. Everyone of the girls that looked after me at this difficult time were kind, caring, amazingly competent and patient. Especial thank you to Paula who was faced with an extremely unpleasant emergency situation when she discovered me covered in blood and bleeding heavily from my wound and nose. Not what she was expecting. I could not have coped without her, and her other visits. Ruth
Sarah and all the team have been supportive and professional when caring for my mother in law and father in law. The team communicate well and are so flexible when circumstances change. The team don't just support the service users but the whole family. X
This company looked after my aunty during the day whilst I was at work, and I couldn't be more grateful. She told me the staff were kind, caring, and made her feel well looked after. They were very professional and attentive to her needs, which gave me great peace of mind knowing she was in safe hands. I would highly recommend their services
I have already submitted a review of this company due to the amount of repetitive issues being located. Many chances were given and I was willing them to succeed. However, issues and concerns were still being located, with poor responses from some of the managerial team, which was very disappointing. Needless to say the correct decision was made to replace Right at Home Nottingham North as they did not change. I still stand by my opinion that there were some good carers that came, though there are clear failings that need resolve and better monitoring. This was a 3 at best on my last review. However, due to failing again, I would give them a 2 in the hope of improvement.
The standard of care received by my sister was exceptional. The staff made sure all if her needs were met. Over the course of one week two different carers were assigned to her. They were both friendly and competent, going above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely be using them again and highly recommend this company to other families who have caring needs
After speaking to three care companies, we decided to put our trust in Right At Home. So pleased we did. My Mum, who has dementia, has received and continues to receive the best care, delivered by some amazing carers. She is happy to see them and enjoys their visits. Believe me, if that wasn't the case, she would let me know; there would be signs! I can access carer notes to see what Mum has eaten, that medication has been administered without problems and how she seems in herself. Any concerns are raised with me immediately. Managers are always available and approachable and go out of their way to accommodate any last-minute requests. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but they provide a great service and most importantly, my Mum is happy. Would highly recommend.
My helper has been coming twice a week for some months now & has been most reliable and a pleasure to have around. Shopping & cooking are a great bonus for me. Nothing is too much trouble. It is very easy to change dates and hours as required.
Never consider taking live in care or Carers. Managers not supportive. Poor delivery of care. Carers not giving training standards. Poor quality of care. Carers on the phone no interaction with client. Cost for live in care very high.
One big thank you to everyone involved in looking after my mum at Right at Home North, I've tried 3 other agencies in the past but this one is by far the best! To be able to go away for a break from looking after my mum and knowing she is happy and cared for to a high standard is so important to me. Thank you.
Compassionate and understanding care. The care assessment was very thorough and listened to my needs and preferences. The manager has been brilliant in co-ordinating my care for the last six months since I have a complex neurological illness. Both care workers have been excellent, really improved my quality of life, brought me joy, and enabled me to have more independence by helping with basic needs such as meals, bathing, and tidying up. I really enjoyed chatting and being able to do things together which bring me pleasure such as tending my houseplants, the garden, and sometimes even a bit of cooking. The service is very flexible and will help me with what I need on a particular day. The emotional support is exceptional and enables me to keep in touch with my family. They are very responsive if I need extra visits due to being more unwell or my husband being away, also on the rare occasion that I am away we can skip a visit and pick up when I return. Very highly recommend it.
I have found dealing with Right at Home (Nottingham North) an absolute pleasure. Nothing is too much trouble. The circumstances I find myself in are sometimes very challenging. My wife has dementia and both our lives are changed forever. Right at Home is the second agency I have employed and blends total professionalism with an immense understanding of all situations. Our lives are many times easier with them on board. They will try at a moment's notice to accommodate changes at home, be it changing times or adding hours. Cannot thank all of them enough!
Right At Home was part of our lives for two years. For a year they cared for our mum and dad until Mum passed away a year ago. After that, they cared for Dad who passed away in April. Right At Home is genuinely unique. The professionalism and knowledge of their carers is second to none. But, it was the humanity, humour and warmth they showed our parents that really impressed. They became part of the family and were interested in who Mum and Dad were and not just their care needs. Nothing was too much trouble and they responded to Mum and Dad's crises with flexibility and an eagerness to make things work. Initially, Mum and Dad were reluctant to accept help and suspicious of strangers coming into their home. Right At Home managed this incredibly well. They were sensitive and gentle and encouraged Mum and Dad to retain their independence. At our invitation, some carers came to both funerals in their own time - this summed up their commitment and humanity. It was a pleasure to have them in all our lives.
I cannot fault the care provided to my dad or the support shown to me. Two staff members in particular always make my dad smile and he looks forward to their visits. I’ve had to request an increase in calls and this has been facilitated very quickly. I would recommend Right at Home to anyone looking for a high-standard care agency.
I live abroad and so do my two sisters so we really need a reliable company to provide care for our 89-year-old Mum who lives alone and has until now refused to have carers and relied on a family friend. From the first contact with Right At Home, I felt at ease. It was obvious the carer was very conscientious and understanding. I felt confident that the staff she hand-picked would be the same. And I was not disappointed. She received a visit from a manager whom she pronounced as lovely and everything went smoothly – within days Mum was meeting her new support person which went very well. She enjoys the lunches her carer makes for her and is grateful she will feed the birds when it's too cold for Mum to go in the garden. Our mum started with just a couple of visits two weeks ago but is already wanting to increase the visits. This is a huge relief to all who love her!
Right at Home have been coming to Dad since the beginning of December. I chose them because of the way they involved Dad in the initial assessment - speaking to him and not about him. Dad, who has dementia, has two visits each day, morning and at tea time. Sometimes dad is up and dressed, sometimes he’s got himself some tea but I never have to wonder what the carer might be doing because she keeps the house clean and tidy, changes the bedding, sorts the washing - she is an absolute angel. Dad has taken to her so well and, as far as his memory will let him, looks forward to her visits. I cannot express enough the peace of mind that it gives me knowing that Right at Home are there to care for Dad. We’ve developed a good system for communicating via a whiteboard in the kitchen so I always know what’s happening and I can pass on info that I need to share. I can see such an improvement in his appearance and mood since Right at Home have been visiting. I can highly recommend it.
A big thank you to all the team from the management to the carers at Right At Home, where nothing has been too much trouble, you have all gone above and beyond with your invaluable help and respectful care to Dad (sadly passed away now) and for your continued support in looking after Mum, we cannot express how grateful we are to you.
The carers have provided peace of mind to all the family, just knowing that a couple of days a week, help is at hand. Thank you to all the team for their support and care. They have been very flexible in order to meet our personal needs.
I am highly satisfied with the service received from the company from the smooth transfer from our previous care company to their attention to detail and their willingness to listen and fine-tune the programme to the individual. My sister-in-law is very happy with the staff who care for her and values the cheerful interaction between them as she is otherwise alone most days. The carers are good with their feedback to me which I find most helpful. I feel very happy and confident to leave the day-to-day care of my sister-in-law in their hands, I feel she is in safe hands.
The carers and support team are just great, very understanding of my parents' needs and always happy to accommodate their changing circumstances. They are very reassuring and give me and my sister great peace of mind.
