My father has dementia and relied on this agency for daily support. He
had a regular carer who he trusted and felt comfortable with. When a
replacement carer attended one day, there was a minor disagreement, and
from that point the management decided they would no longer provide care
at all. This happened very suddenly and without making sure any
alternative support was in place. As a result, my dad - who is
vulnerable and depends on care - was left completely without help. This
has caused him a lot of distress and put his wellbeing at risk. I also
found communication with the management very difficult. When trying to
resolve the issue calmly, I felt that concerns were dismissed rather
than listened to. The situation could have been handled with much more
patience and understanding, especially considering my dad's dementia
diagnosis. Every person receiving care deserves respect, consistency,
and compassion. Unfortunately, our recent experience has not reflected that.
