View Full Details of Blossom Home Care LincolnshireI would recommend Blossom. The staff go out of their way to assist and make the client happy. The carers are efficient and bring much joy on their visits. The extras, like presents for birthdays and Christmas are really welcomed and appreciated With their loving care we hope to use them for years to come!
My Dad had a medical appointment on a day that unfortunately no family members were free to accompany him. Despite it being quite short notice the Blossom office staff were able to find one of Dad's regular carers to go with him. He was well cared for and reassured by having someone familiar to go with him. I would definitely book a carer again in a similar situation, it gave everyone peace of mind and I recommend it to others who might face the same issue.
My sister receives three care calls per day. The call pattern has been established for some time and is effective. The carers follow their checklist of actions, which is important as my sister, who suffers with Alzheimer's randomly switches water and heating off and other small issues. My sister is now used to these visits, but has no memory of them within a few minutes of carer leaving. Carers take care of personal hygiene and domestic matters such as ensuring my sister has clean clothes to wear and preparing wash loads. They will also take my sister for short walks and occasionally short trips. All carers are competent and often go beyond the basic brief.
As a client for a year I have written three reviews which I endorse the Grimsby franchise. In this time a few small issues had come to light which have been resolved by management very quickly. My general feelings are such that the staff are very professional in all aspects of administrative care. The carers that attend the clients are professionals and from my prospective are all pleasant individuals, nothing is to much trouble within reason.
The care and compassion that my mum has received by the team is second to none. Blossom go that extra mile to provide the care that is required, supporting my mum in everyday activities to enable her to enjoy the rest of her day. Staff are very supported of my dad as the Primary Carer, listening to his knowledge of mum's likes and dislikes, which obviously aids a collaboration of care.
From the moment I contacted Blossom - nothing was too much trouble. They consider the health and welfare of both me and the client (my 94 year old mother). They sourced a perfect match for my mothers personality and needs. The carer assigned to us is wonderful and my mother looks forward to her visits every week. She is so caring and understanding and goes above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble for any staff member I speak to.
First-class care with no problems. The carer is very sociable and friendly. Five-star, would recommend, no problem.
All staff and carers were very thoughtful, caring and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Always available to talk to at any time if we had any problems at a very stressful time. Would highly recommend Blossom Home Care to everyone.
It is the best thing I have done, moving over to Blossom. The previous company I felt very vulnerable and used to dread them coming and sometimes cancelling because I could not cope with the aggravation and they had me in tears. Blossom is lovely, friendly and very caring. Nothing is too much trouble. I have been stuck in my house since last August, looking at the same four walls! Not anymore, bless them, they have taken me shopping on numerous occasions and are helping me get back to some normality.
All the staff we have had contact with have been friendly and professional, making it easy to communicate at all levels. Our carers have been punctual and show compassion towards my husband (who has dementia) and myself. They think outside the box to ensure a smooth and effective visit each time. I thank them.
After being signposted to local care companies that could not provide for my husband’s needs, I approached Blossom about care for my husband. He has motor neurone disease and is only 40 years young. He cannot move, eat, drink, swallow or speak and has a lot of technology including breathing machines that any carer would need knowledge of. Blossom went out of their way to contact all of my husband's medical professionals and organised their own training so that they could care for him. They deliver exactly what they promised me, the same carers who are fully trained to cater for any eventuality. After caring for my husband 24 hours a day alone for over a year I was at my limit. Without Blossom Home Care I honestly don’t think I would still be here and I trust them implicitly with my husband. He loves his carers and looks forward to their visits. They are part of the family now. I cannot recommend Blossom highly enough. Thank you for taking care of both of us.
Blossom Home Care have provided and continues to provide outstanding and extremely professional care services to my 90-year-old mother, who had major surgery and a colostomy. The manager's home visit to understand my mother's support needs was very thorough. And it was reassuring to hear about her extensive nursing experience. My mother's care visitor is very friendly and professional and has been an NHS nurse most of her working life. The friendliness and professionalism of the manager and the carer have made my mother's transition from hospital to home far smoother than it would otherwise have been. They communicate regularly with the family and have recently proactively suggested a reduction in my mother's care visits. I could not recommend Blossom Home Care more highly and we consider ourselves so lucky to have found them.
Blossom Home Care came into my mother's home towards the end of her life with very little notice when a crisis arose. With their professional care and knowledge, we were able to keep Mum at home for the rest of her time. They were able to identify where their help was needed, and when they came into the house, they ensured that all the necessary jobs were done and that Mum was left safe and comfortable. They gave us real peace of mind at the end of Mum's life and ensured that she was respected in her death.
My brother has vascular dementia. He lives alone and recently had a fall and broke his arm. I desperately needed help. After ringing a few places, no joy. I then spoke to a staff member. She gave me all the information I needed and then sent me a brochure. She told me that they would do anything legal! Within 48 hours they had been to assess my brother. The assessment was very full, they asked about him, his life before his illness and about his current capabilities and his needs. He’s never had such a thorough assessment, I was impressed. We organised his first visit and my goodness did they work hard. All the time chatting and asking questions. I particularly like the app they used to give me a full summary of how my brother was in himself, what he did, plus ideas for his future. I feel they’ve lifted a great burden from me. I can get back to being a sister, He thought his Blossom Ladies were lovely, he told me he felt that he could tell them anything. He can’t wait for their next visit!
