Nicola and her team have been looking after my Mum and Dad during the past year, becoming good friends and trusted support to the family. The care provided is flexible to their needs and reliable. As Acorn 2 Oak is not a large organisation by design, the service is personal and high quality, which I
know is Nicola's priority. Mum and Dad always look forward to the visits. Nicola provides updates on anything that's happening which helps the family's peace of mind between our own visits. Thank you

Acorn 2 Oak have provided an amazing level of care for my father after he had a fall and needed additional support to remain at home. The care manager, is extremely dedicated, warm and professional and has, together with her excellent small staff team, built a great relationship with him. He has
been looked after with care, compassion and dignity.
When he experienced a medical emergency the care manager went above and beyond to ensure my father was safe and supported. She visited at very short notice to check on his welfare and then stayed for a lengthy period whilst waiting for an ambulance to arrive. My father was provided with compassionate care, reassurance and kept as settled as possible during what was a frightening time for him. The care manager kept us updated about what was happening which was brilliant.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Acorn 2 Oak to anyone and feel extremely grateful for the outstanding service provided.

Nicola and her Acorn 2 Oak Care team looked after our Dad for 6 months during 2025. Their care was amazing: friendly, efficient and very kind. He enjoyed their company and we found their daily updates so reassuring as we lived some distance away. The team helped with hygiene, cooking, shopping and
were so helpful in occasional emergencies.
Being local to Wymondham was a really benefit as was being a relatively small team.
They enabled him to stay in his own home for as long as possible and were very supportive when the decision was finally taken to move him to residential care. I cannot recommend Nicola highly enough.

We congratulated ourselves almost immediately when we discovered this fantastic home care company. They couldn't do enough for our dad, who was confused and in the early stages of dementia. They showed so much patience, compassion, respect, professional initiative and straightforward common sense,
and the communication was always excellent. (The daily reports were so reassuring for us). Dad liked them all (just a small team with an excellent manager, but not always the same person every day) and he definitely felt safer and more secure during the last few months he was able to stay in his own home.
He now needs round the clock care and has moved into a care home nearer us, his family, but we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Acorn 2 Oak to anyone needing that bit of extra care in their own home. All the stars!

We were very pleased with the service provided. Nicola was extremely helpful when we were researching care options and offered lots of useful information without pushing her own business. The 2 members of staff that provided care to my Mum were very friendly, kind and professional. Based on my

At Acorn to Oak we have found a gem of a service. Our Mum, in early stages of dementia was kindly and carefully introduced to the concept of needing some help, particularly with remembering to take her medication. The manager gently and sensitively developed a respectful and kind working
relationship with Mum, who now looks forward to their "tea and chats."
The manager is observant, subtle, kind, caring, responsive and proactive.
Our Dad died in April and the manager was extremely kind to our Mum as she navigated life without her life partner.
Highly recommend the manager and Acorn to Oak for any home are service and support.

Acorn 2 Oak are a small home care company who came to our aid in the summer of 2024 when our elderly mother felt she needed help. They were able to start almost immediately, assisting with meals and getting her started in the morning. The staff are all caring and very friendly which made a huge
difference to Mum's quality of life and she looked forward to her twice daily visits. As Mum deteriorated after Christmas the team were crucial, helping her with hospital appointments and visiting her when she was kept in. The team also dealt with a major crisis when Mum was prematurely discharged from hospital without the appropriate level of care being in place. This was while I was abroad and unable to deal with it, however a place was found for Mum in a very pleasant nursing home in the countryside where Mum spent her last days. I can't recommend Acorn 2 Oak highly enough for all that they have done for the family.

Acorn Care have provided daily help and support for my father since my mother died last Summer when he had also recently been diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimers.
The care he receives is local , very kind, friendly and reliable and means he can happily and safely be in his own home.
He has a few
carers which means they all know him well and they have been very flexible with changes and also supporting with medical visits and collecting medication.
Not living especially close means I can't pop in and check on him but I know the team will alert me if there are concerns and I check in with a regular online report on their 3 daily visits to him.
He was initially very reluctant to have any help but quickly he adjusted and would not be without them now, he is fond of them all and having been very worried about how he would manage I feel confident he is ok.
Staff are friendly , kind and easy to chat to.

Absolute gold dust finding this care provider. The care provided was exceptional, communication with family was excellent, from the care at home, through to assisting with hospital admission, home from hospital care support and the support to find a suitable nursing home was amazing. Truly grateful
and highly recommended. I only wish I had been so lucky for my own parents.

I am really pleased that I chose Acorn as my Provider after a long stay in Hospital and a care home . Prior to my hospitalisation I was an active 80 year old . living alone following the loss of my wife so I had to be sure I would receive personal care to help me get back to my pre illness
condition as near as possible. I needed washing personal & clothing etc food preparation &bed making& I had to get my mobility back with daily Physio exercises The carer insisted daily and supervised. Acorn work on the basis of having one main carer supplemented by the same other carer so a personal relationship is maintained which helps the recovery process . Nothing is ever too much trouble for Acorn with the home care ,any required shopping or accompanied Doctors & hospital visits all accommodated with a friendly smile. I am pleased to say thanks to Acorn I have now achieved my previous condition. I would have no hesitation in recommending Acorn who find themselves in the same situation as me .

Acorn 2 Oak Care are fantastic with my mum. The carers are so kind and attentive, always making sure she's comfortable and happy. They're not just there to help with practical tasks like getting her ready in the mornings or preparing her meals, they also take the time to chat with her, which really
brightens her day.
The care manager is amazing as well. She's approachable, caring, and clearly passionate about making sure everything is just right. She goes above and beyond to match the perfect carers to my mum and is always available if we have any questions or concerns. With the online care notes system, it's so reassuring to stay updated and know Mum is in safe hands. I couldn't ask for more and would highly recommend Acorn 2 Oak Care to anyone.

We were very specific in the type and quality of support we needed for our family unit at home - the manager and her team exceeded any expectations we might have had.
Highly professional and dedicated to providing and recognising the value of 'care' on so many levels - always there to support
quietly - sympathetically - expertly.
Intuitively capable of assessing the immediacy of any given situation and reacting appropriately whilst recognising the value of long-term reinforcement for good and safe practices.
Our family is complete because of the manager and her team.

Acorn 2 Oak Care Limited are an excellent care provider. They have been supporting my mother since my father died suddenly last October. I was a bit worried at first, as I had no experience of care services and no recommendations. I have found the care workers to be hardworking, honest, kind and
nothing has been too much trouble. When my mother had a fall and came out of hospital the manager went the extra mile to check on my mother on her way home and make her meals. I know if I am at all worried about anything, I can text the manager and she responds very quickly and professionally. I highly recommend this care service.

The team have an upbeat, enthusiastic, yet sensitive and skilful approach.
We consider the team to be totally honest and very reliable, with two-way communication and I feel they respond to individual needs, rather than one approach fits all.
They have always been fully committed to wellbeing and safety.

We used Acorn 2 Oak Care to look after Mum when she came out of hospital until she managed without care. My mum, brother and I found the manager and her team to go above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble which we found really refreshing. The care team were responsive to Mum's needs, showed
compassion, kindness and always treated her with dignity and respect. The care delivered was person-centred and very flexible. The team were always happy to accommodate us at a moment's notice which we found extremely useful. As well as supporting Mum with her personal care needs, they kept her safe at home prepared hot meals and sandwiches, ensured Mum had drinks to hand when needed and when her stocks were low, would pop to the shops on their way to visit Mum. The care team also looked after our 2 dogs and would often take them for a walk as well as check that they had food and water.
I have no hesitation in recommending Acorn 2 Oak as the service they provided was outstanding.

We have used various care agencies to support us in caring for our daughter, so our review is based not only on this care provider but in comparison with other care providers we have used.
We find all aspects of this care provider excellent particularly in the most important aspect which is
matching carers with our daughter.
In this present climate with a shortage of carers it would be so easy to send just anyone but this is not the practice with this provider.
Also excellent communication and administration should be a given and is in this case.

The manager provided the most professional and caring service. It was so hard to initially pass across the responsibility of the care for my mum, but I could not have asked for a better service in how she was looked after, and how we were kept informed on all areas of the care provided.
Even when
the care was transferred to meet more complex medical needs, she was adding extra value to her service above and beyond normal expectations.

I really can't recommend Acorn 2 Oak Care Limited highly enough. The team were wonderful in providing both reliable regular and also emergency support at home for my father; I was especially grateful for the care the team provided as I live over 2 hours away. The team were always very approachable
and friendly, with nothing too much to ask or too difficult to do. My father was initially reluctant to accept his need for support at home and the team found shared interests to gain his trust and engage with him. The support was delivered in a friendly way, with some much-needed direction and reassurance if he was hesitant in going to a GP appointment. The team were excellent in keeping in contact with me and letting me know if either anything in his living arrangements or health had changed between my visits and/or if he needed anything. Working with Acorn 2 Oak Care really put my mind at rest. Thank you for your great service.

I cannot recommend strongly enough the services my mother recieved from Acorn 2 Oak Care Services. It was a very troubled time for my mother and the family following a serious hospital stay that left my mother with minimal mobility and delirium. The team were so kind and careful of my mother's
needs, looking after her personal care, meals and prompting her to remember take her medication. Time was always taken to ensure everything was just as my mother would want things, always done with care, kindness and attention detail. I really knew my mother was safe in their care. The communication to me was always prompt and clear about anything my mother might need re food, household supplies or any queries about her general health. I cannot thank them enough or recommend them enough. An excellent service! I know my mother wholeheartedly thinks the same. Thank you.

The manager was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and prompt in dealing with my enquiry about domiciliary care for my elderly dad. Her person-centred and intuitive approach to care planning meant that she was adept at identifying my dad’s care needs and negotiating these in a way that enabled
him to be fully in control of his care plan. Imaginative and flexible, nothing was ever too much trouble and the manager adapted to my dad’s varying needs on a daily basis. Never in a rush, she always did a thorough job and took the time to get to know and interact with my dad. Although initially a reluctant care-receiver, my dad quickly came to highly value her service and see it as a way to remain independent and in control of his own life rather than as having to be reliant on someone else. Her compassion, patience, sense of humour and attitude led to my dad looking forward to her visits and he would always refer to her as a ‘lovely girl’, which was high praise indeed from him!
