View Full Details of Bluebird Care Lewes District, Brighton & HoveOverall very satisfied. Carers knowledgeable and helpful. Only thing that could be improved is informing me of any changes in carers and timings.
I contacted Bluebird Care for help with my mother who has dementia. There have been continuous miscommunications and constant changes to schedules, times and carers. It is extremely disappointing and upsetting as so many promises were made regarding what help could be given. In my opinion, Bluebird Care are struggling with their administration, they seem unable to send or reply to emails. There is clearly a management issue. In the end , two carers visited my mother. One was very good , the other was not a good fit. The whole approach from start to finish has felt like a scam. From signing direct debit immediately at the first meeting to being told that emails and letters had been sent (however not received by me). I have now found a new agency who are much more efficient with less extortionate rates. Bluebird is a big agency but the Brighton branch is not being run well at all. It's sad to see this sector struggling as this vital support is needed by so many.
Bluebird Care assisted my Mum in her last days. She was kept clean and comfortable daily. Although the carers attended to her four times a day, they were always friendly, kind and courteous to the family at a very difficult time. Thoughtless actions during one visit did result in extra work for the family, but overall the carers were helpful and allowed us to have quality time with Mum.
I was looked after very well by Bluebird Care. They tailored their support to my individual needs. They were helpful, kind and there for me when I was in a bad way. I would not have managed to do so well and recover so quickly without their support. I am grateful for all the lovely staff and management who looked after me so well, made me laugh at times and listened to me and went beyond their call of duty sometimes.
Overall, I am happy with the girls. They are very hard working and helpful however I do think it is very expensive per hour. I do not like the 48 hours notice for cancelling, it's too long, 24 hours should be long enough. I am hoping that, if the timing of my visit changes from what is written down on my visit schedule the staff or management will phone me to let me know.
All the carers have been good, friendly yet professional. My only comment is, there have been many carers and each time we get a new one I have to show them what to do. Please could we now stick with the present carers and not have anyone else new. The extra fee at weekends means we can't afford it then.
Very good, carers really care. I look forward to their visits.
Dad received care for eighteen months. During this time, his needs increased and daily routine changed. Bluebird Care was always willing to adjust and accommodate our requirements. Our carers were always respectful, informed, caring and empathetic. We particularly valued the consistency of our regular carer, she made the difference to Dad.
I wanted to praise the carers for treating my dad with care, kindness and dignity. They all formed relationships and he remembered each of them individually. The scheduling team were always flexible and what a relief it was to go seven days per week. The whole team are so professional, friendly and empathetic. Thank you all.
After some initial problems regarding start times, I now have a regular carer who is both very pleasant and efficient. She is always on time (traffic allowing) and carries out the care plan in a friendly and dignified way.
I've had care now for almost four years and I am very satisfied.
From the first staff visit to the last attendance from the carers, I can find no fault with the excellent service provided by Bluebird Care. Always cheerful and thoughtful in their treatment of my husband and myself, we looked forward to their care and expertise which helped to keep my husband at home where he wished to be until he died. Thank you so much to everyone involved in his care - we couldn't have managed to keep him at home without you all.
Very pleased with service delivery. Would find it easier if rota visit sheets covered same period as invoices, sometimes difficult to cross check.
The staff that cared for my father were all brilliant from the start. They were very professional, friendly and treated my father with dignity throughout. They were a tremendous support to both my father and mother. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of them.
The carer arrived to assist my mother with eye drops and found she had fallen. The carer called an ambulance as the carer was unable to assist my mother to get up. I was informed and my brother arrived and assisted my mother to her feet. My mother needed the toilet and the carer assisted her with personal care, ensuring she was washed, dried and into new pyjamas and was comfortable in her chair. This was not part of the carer's role for the visit but the carer knew what to do and was professional, caring and very reassuring. We are most grateful for such a superb service and super staff.
I have been very satisfied with the carers I have had for my husband.
The carers we had were all very professional, caring and helpful. All took the time to ensure Mum was comfortable and well looked after. Mum was always really thankful for the care she received. Thank you to the whole team.
I feel confident that Bluebird's care which is delivered to my daughter, is of a very good standard. She is kept well informed when inevitable changes occur and she is listened to and that she has changing needs which are responded to. Bluebird's care is delivered with professionalism and with a good level of discretion. Many thanks for your care.
Bluebird are very professional and caring. They are a lifeline of support to me in looking after my 99-year-old mother with mixed vascular and Alzheimer's dementia. Without the carer's support, we could not manage, and I would not be able to keep Mum safe in her own home. They encourage her to eat and display enduring patience and understanding during respite and in all required personal care.
If mum says she's done housework, please still do chores as she gets confused.
