Bluebird Care have been integral in us being able to help mum stay as independant as possible. From the care supervisors/co-ordinators to the actual carers visiting at home everyone has been great. Approachable, accomodating and compassionate. But above all caring, would highly recommend.
We are delighted to hear that our team has been able to support your mum in maintaining her independence, as this is at the heart of everything we strive to achieve. It is particularly rewarding to...
Satisfactory
We appreciate all feedback, as it helps us to continually improve the service we provide. While we're pleased that your overall experience was satisfactory, we always strive to deliver care that exceeds expectations.
If there is anything we could...
I would also like to have carers that I know beforehand - which is usually the case.
We also appreciate you highlighting your concerns regarding changes to your call times and being informed in advance. We...
My mother has carers 3 times a week in the mornings. The carers are very polite, capable, friendly and professional. They make sure that she has taken her medication nd will assist in showering, dressing making a cup of tea or anything that is required. It has been a battle to get my mother to accept carers help but due to the carers being very friendly she has accepted it. I'm happy that as time goes on and mum requires more assistance that we will increase the service but this is only due to the carers being so good. Thank you.
We understand that accepting care can be a big adjustment, so it is wonderful to hear that our carers have built such a positive relationship with your mum through their kindness, professionalism and...
Our carer is on time, cheerful and very helpful and efficient.
Following your review, we contacted you to ensure we fully understood your feedback. We were pleased to hear that you confirmed you are very happy with the care you receive and that the ratings for our...
Sadly management has changed over the last 9 months and the quality of the agency has significantly deteriorated. I don't feel the partnership that used to be there between management/carers/customers - I'm not known to the management now and no efforts have been made towards this, requests for reviews/contact have been ignored, and that happy dialogue between all parties that had worked for so many years isn't there anymore.
The carers on the ground cannot be faulted, they are doing a great job despite all this. We are incredibly lucky to have such a good set of carers who can keep the care up to a reasonable standard even without the support they deserve. Because of this, I hope that things improve again in the future, it's not all lost!
We are pleased to hear your positive comments about our care team. Our carers work incredibly hard to provide compassionate, person-centred care and we are proud of the support they deliver every day.
We are sorry to learn that your experience...
Despite the client being stubborn and rather reticent about accepting help Bluebird met his wishes with respect and friendship enabling him to end his days in the comfort of his own home doing what he wanted.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was truly a privilege to support him during such an important and personal time in his life. We always aim to respect each customers independence, wishes, and individuality, even when accepting support can feel difficult for them. Building trust,...
Caring, thoughtful, knowledgeable staff.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you found our team to be caring, thoughtful and knowledgeable. Providing compassionate, person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do, and it means a great deal to know that this was reflected in your...
Overall very satisfied. Carers knowledgeable and helpful. Only thing that could be improved is informing me of any changes in carers and timings.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review and kind words! We truly appreciate your feedback. It means a lot to us to hear that you are overall very satisfied. We noted your suggestion about improving communication on carer and timing changes. This is important to us, and we are...
There have been continuous miscommunications and constant changes to schedules, times and carers. It is extremely disappointing and upsetting as so many promises were made regarding what help could be given. In my opinion, Bluebird Care are struggling with their administration, they seem unable to send or reply to emails. There is clearly a management issue. In the end , two carers visited my mother. One was very good , the other was not a good fit. The whole approach from start to finish has felt like a scam. From signing direct debit immediately at the first meeting to being told that emails and letters had been sent (however not received by me). I have now found a new agency who are much more efficient with less extortionate rates. Bluebird is a big agency but the Brighton branch is not being run well at all. It's sad to see this sector struggling as this vital support is needed by so many.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we sincerely appreciate you bringing these important points to our attention. Please be reassured that we take all feedback seriously as it helps us identify areas...
Bluebird Care assisted my Mum in her last days. She was kept clean and comfortable daily. Although the carers attended to her four times a day, they were always friendly, kind and courteous to the family at a very difficult time. Thoughtless actions during one visit did result in extra work for the family, but overall the carers were helpful and allowed us to have quality time with Mum.
I was looked after very well by Bluebird Care. They tailored their support to my individual needs. They were helpful, kind and there for me when I was in a bad way. I would not have managed to do so well and recover so quickly without their support. I am grateful for all the lovely staff and management who looked after me so well, made me laugh at times and listened to me and went beyond their call of duty sometimes.
I am so pleased we have supported you effectively enough to enable you to manage independently. Thank you for your kind words.
Please could we now stick with the present carers and not have anyone else new.
The extra fee at weekends means we can't afford it then.
I do not like the 48 hours notice for cancelling, it's too long, 24 hours should be long enough.
I am hoping that, if the timing of my visit changes from what is written down on my visit schedule the staff or management will phone me to let me know.
Very good, carers really care. I look forward to their visits.
Our carers were always respectful, informed, caring and empathetic. We particularly valued the consistency of our regular carer, she made the difference to Dad.
Thank you all.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are truly delighted to hear about your positive experience with our team. At Bluebird Care, we strive to provide personalised, dignified care to each of our clients and it's heartwarming to know that we were able to make a significant difference for your...
After some initial problems regarding start times, I now have a regular carer who is both very pleasant and efficient. She is always on time (traffic allowing) and carries out the care plan in a friendly and dignified way.
Thank you for your comment and feedback. We are delighted that the team have been able to iron out your initial concerns. Thank you for your comment about your carer, we are very proud have such a fantastic bunch of people in our team.
I've had care now for almost four years and I am very satisfied.
Hello, thank you for your review. I note that you have had care from us for four years and are 'very satisfied'. This is lovely to hear. However, I will ask the team to contact you this week as I am concerned that we have only achieved three out of five stars for your overall experience with us. We clearly need to do more to make sure our service meets all your expectations.
Thank you so much to everyone involved in his care - we couldn't have managed to keep him at home without you all.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was our pleasure and an honour to help at this time. Our love to you and your family and friends.

Meet the Team (4)
Terri originally started with Bluebird Care (Lewes District) in July 2011 where she was the Company’s first and only carer. When the Company was in its infancy she helped with a variety of duties to help get the business off the ground. Terri then left to start her own business and soon discovered that she missed her love for care.
She returned to the sector where she gained experience in hospital and nursing home settings. During the pandemic, Terri worked in a nursing home and was responsible for keeping residents safe. Terri has been a manual handling trainer and has a considerable amount of nurse training. She holds a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and will be working towards Level 5. Terri is honoured to be working with Bluebird Care once again, now as Care Manager, and is looking forward to assisting the company to new heights.
Karen joined us in 2019 as a Training Officer and has now moved into the position of Operations Manager responsible for both offices in Hove and Newhaven. She is still responsible for training all new care assistants and for the ongoing continued professional development of the wider existing teams and carers.
Due to her astounding skills base and ability to problem solve she has taken on the whole of Operations Manager for the two businesses. This includes supporting the Registered Care Managers with compliance as well as using her knowledge as a registered nurse to guide the business, and new and experienced employees to fulfil potential.
Karen considers;
The investment made in training our staff to a high standard is a testament to the level of care that’s provided ensuring all staff are prepared for the individual needs of our customers.
Courtney started with Bluebird Care (Lewes District, Brighton & Hove) in November 2023 as the Lead Care Co-Ordinator across both offices. Courtney has worked within the care sector for 11 years across both residential and domiciliary care. During those 11 years, Courtney has worked across many roles, from a care assistant to a deputy manager within a residential care home. Courtney is highly motivated, proactive and has a positive attitude. Courtney is keen to work as part of the team and is committed to providing clients, their families, and carers with a very high-quality level of support.
Sarah has many years of experience as a care worker and has been working with Bluebird Care (Lewes District, Brighton and Hove) since March 2019. She joined the office team, working from the Newhaven office, working in support of Tracy Wood, our Lead Area Supervisor. Sarah holds Level 2 & 3 qualifications in Health & Social Care.
I have enjoyed my progression from Carer to Support Supervisor and now to Area Supervisor; I have had a lot of encouragement and support from the team and have also always felt part of the team.
