View full details of Westminster Homecare (Nottingham)After caring for my mum for 1 week they have given notice that we have to find a new provider. This is because 2 female carers have complained about my mum verbally abusing them. The other 5 carers that have attended have not complained. Mum is 85 and lost her speech due to a stroke 3.5 years ago. She cannot communicate so gets frustrated with herself - not the carers. I would have thought that you would have knowledge of stroke victims and the difficulties they face. Your 2 carers that have complained about my mum do not seem very compassionate. Our previous care provider did hot have any issues with mum during the 3 years they looked after her, they could not look after her anymore because she was their only client left in this area. I cannot understand why 2 female carers are offended by an old woman in the latter days of her life. They are not very resilient. Mum's co-ordinator was very brusque on the telephone, not prepared to discuss the situation. Avoid avoid.
Westminster have been amazing with my mum. The staff both in office and those that visit my mum do actually care. They are consistent, thorough, competent and actually go above what is required to meet my mum's needs. We had major issues with the previous provider and Westminster have put my trust back into care in the home. I cannot thank them enough. Shout out to Gillian, Shirley, Hannah, Jade and Melanie you are amazing.
The carers are good and well-trained. There is a flow of new carers. The carers are generally punctual. carers well well-trained and keep to time. It is better if the same carers can be used. This is usually achieved
Carers are very good, especially the ones I have regularly. I have a couple of carers who I have regularly. This is helpful. They are very friendly and communicate well. Evening calls are rather early (8 pm sometimes). Carers are usually on time, lunch times can vary. The office is good.
