View Full Details of Guardian Angel Carers - ChichesterMy dealing with Guardian Angel Carers has been excellent throughout. I contacted them at the end of June when my father suffered a mini stroke. GAC made visits to assess him whilst he was in hospital and were able to supply a exemplary live in carer for him the same week which allowed him to return home. The carer was wonderful giving outstanding support to both my father and the entire family and when the time came she reassured us that he would manage with daily visits rather than a live in carer. The daily carers have been great too, spending time talking to dad and helping him in anyway thay he needed. As my father continued to make progress I found amending and adapting his care package to be very simple with everyone that I had dealing with at GAC being kind, understanding and hugely supportive.
We had the most wonderful, kind and understanding service form Guardian Angels Carers. New to having any help, my parents were instantly reassured by the teams good humour and respectful attitude. And I was happy to know that they were being helped by a responsive and flexible team of very personable people. Great team, great communication, great care. we are very grateful.
Service has been very satisfactory. Carers have all been thoughtful and cheerful. Office staff have always tried to be accommodating as far as they were able. We have been very satisfied with the care we have received so far from Guardian Angel and look forward hopefully to many more months with them.
All the care givers who attend my mother in law are exceptional. They have been wonderful; completing their care for her with kindness and compassion. The carers always go over and above their tasks and sometimes spot areas in her life that can be improved. They are fully trained and engaged with encouraging a 96 year old to be as independent as possible whilst always looking out for her safety
As the Carer for my wife it is OK for me to leave her on her own for spells of one or two hours, but anything longer is too much, as she is constantly anxious and worried. But I needed to get a break and have an afternoon off once per week -it's been 5 years and very tough for me as she is very demanding, constantly complains about everything and is very stubborn, never wanting to do anything I ask (and showing little gratitude). So Guardian Angels have arranged for the same Carer to visit for 4 hours every Tuesday afternoon. My hope is that the Carer will be able to win her confidence and then be able to get her to do some occupational therapy, some necessary exercises, some walking outside and accept some personal care support. She is capable of all of this she, but refuses from me. The Carer fully understands the requirements and is coping well with these difficult objectives.
I think the last year would have been a very shaky experience for myself and my family without the help of the Guardian Angels staff and carers. I had already experienced their help in 2019 assisting me with caring for my late husband following a bilateral hip replacement so following my serious and life changing accident in February 2024 we went straight to them. Their expert support, care, totally reliable service and understanding as I struggled to adapt to the change in my life have helped me on the journey to regaining the optimum level of independence possible for me. I am so thankful for their continuing support, for their kindness, professionalism, friendship and help in keeping me feeling human during the darkest moments. Thank you all so much.
As a family, we are extremely pleased with the service which Dad receives from Guardian Angels which is enabling him to stay in his own home. The carers are interested in Dad, caring and considerate and very professional in their approach. They do a very good job, Dad looks and feels well cared for and their approach has certainly given us peace of mind and trust in the staff. They take time to make comments about Dad, via a diary, to answer our questions and to maintain his privacy and dignity. Dad is very happy with the service he receives and always comments on how nice and pleasant the carers are and he enjoys seeing a familiar, friendly face each day. There has always been a prompt, professional and friendly response to any query raised with the office and a willingness to change the schedule whenever needed. All of this gives the family great peace of mind that Dad is being cared for on a daily basis, especially as none of us live locally.
The Guardian Angels carers we have been assigned to Mum have been great. It was a huge step for us getting Mum to accept care, but amazingly it has worked out due to the nature and skill of the carers. We are very grateful that Mum, who has dementia, has taken to them, and them to her!
Guardian Angels have lived up to the name. They have been caring, supportive, and knowledgeable from the initial connection to the weekly Angel visit and the ongoing check-in about levels of service. I particularly like the app where I can easily check the weekly visit update to give comfort all is well. Takes some of the pressure off me. Mum now looks forward to the weekly visit for the support and some chat with her regular Angel.
Excellent service throughout our time with Guardian Angels. I am included in the care of my sister and l try to keep the office informed of any changes. My sister's care plan was completed before any paid service was provided and the document was accurate, clear and detailed. The company is fully aware of the care needs and so the way the service is provided is superior in every way. We are grateful - everyone smiling and happy. Thank you.
I have consistently received an excellent standard of care from Chichester Guardian Angels over the last three years. In my experience their carers are friendly, efficient and very professional. As I have Multiple Sclerosis they have always been flexible and compassionate regarding my changing care needs.
A cheerful morning greeting, a happy smile and essential domestic chores tackled with alacrity. What more does a 97-year-old who lives alone need to start his day. Thank you Guardian Angels, you help me to continue living independently.
My husband and I have been clients for three months and have nothing but good to report on Guardian Angel Carers. The carers are invariably helpful, conscientious and willing to do any task required of them. The organisation is efficient and cooperative, making every effort to comply with our wishes.
My wife is in her 80th year with vascular dementia, and about four years ago, my doctor said unless I got some help, I wouldn't survive to take care of my wife. I had heard of Guardian Angels and after a professional review of my wife's needs and care plan, we agreed to go ahead with their services. We are thus in a good position to review their performance. With the two carers four times a day and an afternoon companion carer five days a week, we are totally satisfied with the care we have received. All the carers are well-trained, pleasant, loyal and first-class.
Throughout my entire time with Guardian Angels, I have received nothing but the best! Care for Mum is just fabulous, each and every carer are thoughtful, empathetic, patient and very personable. Despite the rollercoaster of emotions Mum can go through, they continue to smile and help Mum through the difficult times, as well as share laughter through the good. Whilst all of the carers are amazing, I cannot forget the office staff and management, all of whom work hard and understand what is needed to help mum's care journey to be a positive one. I can't thank Guardian Angel Carers enough, for everything they do for Mum and my family. Thank you!
I recently watched my elderly father suffer poor care when he became infirm and had to rely on the local authority's 'care by the lowest bidder'. So when my partner needed care I had a very clear idea of what I didn't want! I am happy to say that Guardian Angels have restored my faith in people. There are kind, caring people in the world who do a difficult job as well as they possibly can to ensure that their clients feel dignified and valuable. I am sure they have bad days, we all do, but I have never seen a sign of it in their work. They always leave my partner feeling better than she did when they arrived. They have become important members of her 'family'. So thank you Guardian Angels. What you do transforms people's lives.
Due to circumstances beyond your control, the rotas you have sent out have not been adhered to, resulting in uncertainties as to who is coming and at what time! In some instances, this causes some distress and disruption to my daily routine and arrangements, i.e. cancelling doctor, hospital or dentist appointments or visits from family and friends - I do have a life! Regularity is important to me and the girls I have known for some time are wonderful. It takes time to get to know the new carers and to trust and understanding on both sides.
I have now been with Guardian Angel Carers for many years. My particular needs stem from having MS and using a wheelchair. Because of the pandemic, the number of carers per client has been reduced so as to minimise cross-infection. Commendable on Guardian Angel Carers part, of course, as it has resulted in my main carer becoming very experienced in my particular needs. Ironically, though, it has also resulted in other carers being less familiar with routine aspects of my care when, every so often, they substitute for my main carer. As ever, the constant refrain of all Guardian Angel carers is that 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. makes for too long a working day. This worries me as a client because tiredness must surely affect their work as carers. Another constant anxiety is, they tell me, inadequate lack of travel time. Nearly all Guardian Angel carers are personable, careful and attentive. Sometimes, despite their initial in-house training, I have to instruct the odd carer in what they have to do.
We understand that this has been a challenging period for Guardian Angel. However, everyone has certainly done their best for Dad. He has benefitted from a high level of consistency of carers and care provision.
