View Full Details of Alina Homecare Hemel HempsteadOur Dad passed away on July 5th at 4am. He had Vascular Dementia. During the proceeding 14 days Alina were instrumental in supporting us by supplying professional Carers on a daily basis & one full time Carer. Each and everyone of them were wonderfully empathetic, caring, understanding, professional and thoughtful. From the first meeting with the manager to describe my dad's condition and plan what help was required I knew he would be looked after and so he was. The App was very useful to see what had happened after each visit. Almost on a daily basis things changed as as they changed the manager managed the requests with calm professionalism. I would like to thank another staff member for helping my dad through his final days and all of the Carers who looked after him. Best wishes
I found Alina care excellent from the first visit with the carer to assess my mother needs right up to when she was taken into a care home. In two short months all of the carers were kind, thoughtful and took great care to make sure they followed all of the guidelines I gave them. My mother has dementia and is unaware of the level of care she requires. I felt confident knowing each carer took the time to see to what was needed while chatting (and singing) with mum during each visit. Left her little notes on her lunch when they made it up for her and made sure she had all she needed before they left. Whenever I needed to contact regarding Mums care phone calls and emails were always responded to quickly. Also having access to the app was very useful. Thank you all, it means so much when you have trust and confidence in the carers who are looking after your mum.
When my sister & I acknowledged that it was time that our lovely Mum needed extra support that we weren't always able to give we had the unenviable task of having to seek out a care provider. As luck would have it my sister found Alina Care & we had a meeting at their offices in Hemel Hempstead. From the get-go we realised they understood our needs & requirements & were flexible to adapt to those needs as & when required. I cannot enthuse enough about the quality of care & all the carers became friends & Mum felt that about them too. Consistently on time, always well attired & delightful caring people- all of them. We were never fobbed off with a revolving door of different faces & the app kept my sister & I fully informed about each visit which became a massive comfort to us. Whilst Mum has now gone into respite care , Alina were the perfect support when needed & can't thank them enough for all they did for Mum
Alina helped keep my Dad safe in his own flat. The carers were flexible and friendly and the whole service was very responsive. Dad was seen by no more than two or three carers - and most of the time the same one each week - so they were familiar to him even though his short term memory is not so good these days. The app they use is terrific. The carers use it to record what they had done at each session and this helped me to keep an eye on Dad's care even though I live a three hour drive away. They cost a bit more than some of the other care organisations I looked at but I thought it was worth it for peace of mind.
I can't fault the service provided by Alina Homecare. The staff are always punctual, polite and very efficient. The staff always arrive at their allocated time enabling me to plan my day. Staff are very attentive and always pay attention to detail and are very gentle when carrying out their chores.
Mum was diagnosed with dementia and whilst living in a retirement community she needed additional daily care for meals as well as social and some safe guarding each day. After significant research across agencies we chose Alina as they were flexible, experienced and friendly. The team have been fantastic from day one, everything we ask for is addressed, great suggestions for improved care are made and the team take time for items that are not within the care plan such as assisting with a freezer defrost which was causing Mum concern.
Excellent service from carers. They come on time, have a good relationship with the person they are caring for. They talk to them all the time which has a calming effect. They also tidy up afterwards and offer any help such as taking bins out and making beds. It is an excellent service from well-trained staff.
The care and compassion shown towards my auntie over the last 4 years by the Alina Homecare Hemel Hempstead team has been outstanding. Nothing was too much for them and the care that they gave took the daily stress of caring for an elderly relative away from us. My aunt was quite a character. The carers accepted her ways and how she lived. Their amazing care allowed her to stay in her home and to die at home. Our heartfelt thanks go out to each and every one of the carers. We will always be so very grateful to the Alina team.
Fantastic service. Kind engaging and warm. Perfect for our Mum. Highly recommend.
Oh my goodness! I can't believe how absolutely fantastic the last few days have been with Alina Healthcare carers looking after me. To allow my husband to have a well-deserved respite break, I approached Alina Healthcare to provide care morning and evening. I am a permanent wheelchair user with MS and require full assistance getting me up washed/showered and dressed in the morning plus getting me undressed and back to bed in the evening. A full needs assessment was undertaken prior to the start of my husband's break and I had the opportunity to meet the staff who would be providing care. Without exception, all the staff providing my care were wonderful. I was treated with dignity and respect at all times. The staff ensured that I was comfortable and satisfied with the care. They chatted with me throughout and we shared a good few laughs! I really can't thank Alina Healthcare for making my first experience of being cared for by someone other than my husband so fantastic. Thank you!
Everyone at Alina Homecare Hemel Hempstead were brilliant with my father-in-law's care. Two staff members in particular were fantastic support and organised the most wonderful carers to visit my father-in-law when he needed assistance. We had to ask for quite a few changes to the visiting times and nothing was ever too much. Our requests were actioned immediately. It's reassuring to have the same people coming in and they were all so friendly, gentle and caring and respectful and they went beyond requirements when needed. The only reason we stopped having the care was due to my father-in-law being admitted to hospital. Thank you.
My sister needed help with caring for herself. She was not eating and was unable to care for her home. The improvement since the carers started visiting is remarkable. They make sure she eats a good meal daily and keeps the home clean and organised. She particularly appreciates that they like her dog. After four weeks she is much less depressed. The carers seem to really take an interest in her and enjoy chatting.
The staff are lovely and caring, which made the introduction of home care for my in-laws a lot easier than expected. My in-laws soon got used to the routine and now look forward to their visits, and enjoy the company.
I found Alina to be very helpful especially as I had not been familiar with finding care previously. They were caring, professional and very helpful and have remained so throughout. The carers are lovely and my parents, despite reservations, have accepted them and seem to enjoy the company. Thoroughly recommend.
We have been very impressed with the carers who visit our father every morning. They arrive on time and are always cheerful, and Dad enjoys seeing them. They take a genuine interest in our father and his health, and have on 2 occasions contacted me when they have been concerned about something, which I am so grateful for. In addition to this, we have access to the app, which is invaluable as it provides us with information regarding Dad's mental and physical health, as well as the tasks the carer has carried out. Dad would like to continue living independently for as long as he can, and with Alina supporting the family in helping him, he is able to do so and we are very grateful. Thank you all.
I am very impressed with the speed the team responded to our initial phone call for help. For the most part the carers we have had have been effective, kind and professional. There is a range of experience amongst the carers and this is reflected in the quality of care given. All in all I am very satisfied with the care I have received from Alina.
Alina Homecare have been such a help for all the family. We now have the reassurance that someone is checking in on Dad each morning and giving us feedback using the app, so we know if he needs anything from us. Not only have they been performing the key task of changing a stoma bag, but they also let us know how Dad is feeling and tidy up as well. We are so glad to have Alina Homecare and grateful for their help.
As a frail and elderly couple, we registered with Alina in 2023 in case of need in the future. How glad we did because an emergency arose in January 2024 when I, the official carer for my husband, fell and fractured my leg needing a two hour operation and subsequent complete immobility for two weeks. Within a day or so Alina came to our rescue and provided personal care for me plus domestic help with general household chores. During the past six weeks of my recovery, we have had excellent service from Alina in the form of two regular carers who always arrived with a smile and cheery greeting, attended to their tasks with enthusiasm and efficiency and made our life bearable during this rather traumatic time for us. They arrived on time, adapted quickly to our needs and were flexible doing the tasks required of them. Some of the meals prepared for us were delicious. We hope we shall not need help for a while, but if we do, we will have no hesitation in turning to Alina for help again.
Swift, accurate and cheerful service given in a kind way.
Mum's carers are all amazing girls. Caring, empathetic, attentive and sympathetic only explain a small part of the love and attention they provide Mum with, in turn making Mum feel better about herself and he needs and is also able to have a laugh with her carers. They really cheer her up.
