View Full Details of Ashridge Home Care LtdI have found Ashridge Home Care to be very professional & supportive to not only my Mum but to the whole family. I have always been confident that they will do what they say & the Ashridge team do their utmost to provide the best possible staff & great care to their clients
We contacted Ashridge in August 2024 to seek care for our godfather when our godmother (and carer to our godfather) required palliative care. From our first meeting, we felt that our loved ones would be in good hands and our confidence has been borne out by the excellent care provided by Ashridge staff. Every live-in carer has provided the utmost care and attention while treating our godfather with dignity and compassion throughout. After our godmother sadly passed away, our godfather has been able to stay in his own home, surrounded by fond memories and familiar people thanks to the expertise of his wonderful Ashridge carer. Communication with management and admin staff is also excellent and someone is always on hand to deal promptly with any queries. We wish everyone in my godfather's position was able to receive this level of care at the most vulnerable stage of their lives.
I contacted Ashridge initially on behalf of my friend's daughter to facilitate the transfer of my friend from hospital to home where she wanted to die. Discharge from hospital was chaotic due to poor communication between hospital departments; it took 5 days from when the consultant said my friend could go home to die to physical discharge. The Ashridge carer was excellent. I judge the Ashridge carer as a retired intensive care sister. She was kind, caring, attentive and compassionate. She immediately fitted into the attending friends and family circle caring for my fiend. She was always doing things e.g. offering mouthcare, checking on pain etc. She was not intrusive. It is with a heavy heart as a retired healthcare professional to say her care skills both interpersonal and clinical were superior to those exhibited by many of the registered and unregistered hospital staff and the registered staff in the community. If I ever needed anyone to look after me, I would request this carer.
My experience with Ashridge Homecare was excellent. My anticipated needs following leg surgery were well assessed. The two carers were punctual, cheerful and kind. They provided help with personal care, washing, dressing and haircare and compression stockings. They also carried out household duties such as bedmaking, changing sheets, laundry care and tidying the kitchen. They accompanied me on walks to encourage increased mobility. They were always very friendly and sociable and always brightened up our day. Should we need this type of assistance in the future we would contact Ashridge Homecare.
I contacted Ashridge initially to discuss visiting home care for my mother but the situation changed before we had even had our initial appointment and I asked them to arrange live-in care at very short notice. Rather unbelievably within 36 hours a live-in carer had arrived! The carer provided has been a god send, he is an excellent fit for my mother and has worked wonders to improve her health. More than that, he has become a valued companion and I am delighted by how he has fitted into our family. Throughout the whole process the office staff have been extremely easy to deal with, communication has been great, nothing is too much trouble and things are sorted out with the minimum of fuss. I have been very impressed with Ashridge so far.
We first contacted Ashridge for assistance with Personal Care for my mother in May 2024 and then had live-in care from the following month for a year. All of the carers were kind and competent. Ashridge helped us settle into a rotation mostly of 2 preferred live-in carers. They enabled my mother to remain at home, enjoying her garden, attending Church and Lunch Club and receiving many visits from family and friends until the end of April 2025. The carers liaised with great patience (and persistence where necessary) with me, the GP, district nurse, and dentist to provide my mother with the best possible care tailored to her preferences. I highly recommend Ashridge Home Care.
My father was a client of Ashridge for two years. During that time the level of care provided by Ashridge varied, from two visits per week, to two or three visits per day, and also included a short period of live-in respite care after a stay in hospital. With the help of the Ashridge carers, my father was able to live independently for as long as possible. The carers were excellent, treating my father with utmost dignity and respect at all times, and he came to trust and rely on them. It was a huge comfort to know that he had such lovely people looking out for him. The office staff were also very kind, caring and understanding, dealing with the fluctuating needs quickly and efficiently, even arranging live-in care at only a few days' notice over the Christmas period. Everyone on the team seems to have endless patience and compassion, and Ashridge's help, support and compassion have been invaluable.
My mother was recently taken ill and rushed into hospital. The visiting carer provided by Ashridge Home Care was absolutely wonderful. Recognising the gravity of the situation, she alerted the family, contacted the doctor and stayed on till one of us could get there. As a result of my mother's illness my parents needed additional care. The staff at Ashridge were very kind and understanding as they helped us consider the different options and we opted for live-in care, enabling my parents to stay together in their own home. This was quickly and efficiently put in place. The carers looking after my parents are kind, supportive and trustworthy. They have built up very good relationships with my parents who have become very fond of them. The standard of care is excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Ashridge Home Care.
My father has been supported by Ashridge Home Care for the last 2 years. The standard of support and care has been very high quality. We have used a number of carers during this period and eventually settled on a select few that knew how to operate around the house looking after my father and supporting my mother. I would have no hesitation recommending their services to anyone who is in need of being cared for at home.
This was my husband's first experience of receiving care from anyone other than family. We were both anxious about a week of live-in respite care but we needn't have been. Our experience with Ashridge Homecare has been excellent from the initial phone call. The assessment process was very compassionate and professional and a detailed and thorough care plan was written by the assessor. We were immediately put at ease. The carer was professional and attentive to my husband's needs and gave an excellent standard of care. She also looked after our cat and the house was kept immaturely clean and tidy by her throughout the week. I have no hesitation in recommending Ashridge Homecare and we have already booked another week of live-in care with them ourselves.
Dealing with Ashridge has been an absolute pleasure. They are professional and reliable and their carers are especially well trained. My father's long-term live-in carer was going home for 5 weeks and Ashridge did a more than perfect job of filling this gap. I would highly recommend it.
We needed some support very last minute Immediately they helped us and put in care within 24 hours. The carers have been amazing and we feel very lucky to be working with such a professional organisation.
I contacted Ashridge Homecare after my father had spent 7 weeks in a local care home on respite at the beginning of this year. He is in his late 90's and prior to the respite had lived independently with minimal help. However, after a series of falls, we agreed as a family to find a live-in carer. Ashridge has been exceptional at providing the appropriate live-in carer to match my father's needs. This includes complete caring as well as hospital visits as and when needed. He has a dog which is looked after by the live-in carer as well. I would strongly recommend Ashridge as an option to care for an elderly relative.
Ashridge Home Care really did offer fantastic and understanding care to my father in his final months, his carers were so well organised and professional, caring and compassionate, we couldn't have had a better team looking after him. Thank you so much for all that you did.
I have had three carers from this company who have all been helpful whilst recovering from several eye operations. The house has been kept tidy and meals provided, enabling me to resume my daily activities. The main benefit of a live-in carer has been the company provided and learning how to share space with another person. I am particularly impressed by the consideration shown and encouragement given. The only downside is the transition back to self-care when the carer leaves. However, I certainly cannot complain as regards the care given by this company's carers and would recommend the company to anyone in need of assistance and support.
My father was a client between 2020 and 2024, when he passed away. Please think carefully about live-in care. Dad's main carers gave excellent care throughout and they are the 1 star in my review. What happened when they were gone makes me feel so guilty. There was a scald to his leg which saw us in A&E from 23:45 to 7am. Dad was in such pain and distress. I requested support but the services manager refused. No compensation offered, taxi fares offered but not delivered twice. The enquiry failed to identify management failings. I felt discouraged from investigating policy changes. Lack of training with standing aids. Carer discouraged a visit to A&E (fractured clavicle). Accidents still happening (skinning of the leg with no explanation) until the end. Really no confidence that Ashridge were geared up to give Dad consistent safe care. Please don't be hesitant to ask questions and get answers. Make sure carers are supervised. Don't forget CQC will support you and social services management.
I contacted Ashridge Home Care as I needed a live-in carer at short notice following a surgical tooth extraction in hospital. They were very understanding and helpful. Within a few days I was given a carer who came the day before the operation. She immediately summed up the situation, requirements for special diet etc. and took over all housekeeping. Her care and concern was excellent and her support and kindness enabled me to have a restful, healthy and healing time. Especially as we shared the same interests. I shall recommend them.
A particular member of staff has been extremely competent in all she has done here; also providing companionship to us both. She is always cheerful and carries out her duties quietly, efficiently and with integrity. She has become a good friend! Nothing is too difficult for her and it is a pleasure to see her each morning.
We have had a very positive review with Ashridge Home Care Ltd. We needed urgent live-in care for my mother whilst my father was in hospital. The staff were caring and attentive taking on board all of our needs and were able to get someone in place in less than 48 hours. Our carer was wonderful and did a brilliant job looking after my mother. Whilst this was for a respite care only, I know we will use them again in the future. Thank you everyone for coming to our rescue!
Two members of staff and the team at Ashridge have been caring, understanding and above all extremely efficient in helping us with our hospital discharge care. They had great sympathy for our immediate needs and have done all they can to help. I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a care package, and they will tailor it to fit exactly with your own personal requirements. It’s been a genuine pleasure working with them, nothing has been too much trouble.
