Very happy with the standard of service from this provider. Two members of staff were quick to visit and assess my mother's needs following a fall. They were very helpful in providing advice and guidance. Care rosters were delivered quickly and amended easily, even at short notice. Due to the short term nature of the relationship, we had a number of different carers and of course some were better than others, but generally the standard was high. The carers themselves spoke highly of 1st Focus as an employer, which was good to hear. Thoroughly recommended.

We used the services of First Focus when our mum suffered from dementia when in her 90's.We requested a 24 hour carer and got a lovely lady who was extremely caring, thoughtful and attentive to her needs. She did her cleaning and cooking and provided companionship throughout.The staff at the agency were also very supportive to both us and our mum. Thank you for all your help First Focus.

I contacted First Focus to request an urgent PoC for my mum to enable me to have a short break. We had been waiting on a PoC from the Council for 4 months and I was extremely stressed. I contacted First Focus approximately 4-5 days before my break as I realised that I couldn't go away unless my mum had support. My mum was insistent that she was able to manage independently. HR coordinator listened to my concerns and my assessment of my mum's needs. She discussed the options and possible timings of visits. She contacted me later that day to provide details of of support that their agency could provide, which was perfect for my mum. The HR coordinator was very supportive, helpful and professional in providing support and advice. This has been my experience with this company as a health professional which is why I contacted them to provide a care package for my mum. Unfortunately, my mum fell and was admitted to hospital before the service could commence (24hrs). First Focus waived any payment.

Arrived in good time introduced herself. Friendly and professional got on with the tasks and also chatted to the client. Happy and cheerful lady. The changed bed looked like one in a magazine. When not sure of a task, was not afraid to ask and agreed understanding. Good report written at end of the allotted time.

1st Focus have been absolutely amazing in all aspects of their care of my mum. All the team both in the office and the lovely ladies who care for my mum are wonderful! When my mum had a bad fall earlier in the year, the carers from 1st Focus stayed with her for many hours until the ambulance arrived. We can never thank them enough for all the care they gave to mum. She enjoyed chatting to them all and the care and compassion they showed to mum and also to us as a family is second to none.

We have been using 1st Focus for care for my mum since August 2024. We have found the carers to be professional, caring and friendly. Management have been very flexible when changes had to be made and have taken prompt action when necessary. 1st Focus have done their utmost to ensure continuity of carer and to match the carer's strengths to my mother's needs.

In February 2024, my husband was assessed by the hospital as requiring 24 hour care. I, plus my children, wanted to have a go at caring for him at home until the end of the summer. I knew nothing about home care, the social worker handed me a short list of carers and care homes and also recommended searching online. I spent ages on the phone talking to care companies about my husband's requirements. The most helpful, caring and sympathetic company I talked to, was 1st Focus and so I decided to go along with them. They very quickly organised a package to suit my husband's needs i.e. 2 carers to help get him out of bed, 1 carer present all day who was aided by the return of the second carer at bed time. I was the overnight carer. We were given regular carers who were delightful girls - hard working, conscientious, pleasant and soon became part of the family. When my regular carers were unavailable 1st Focus sent very capable replacements. My husband is now in a care home.

I have been using 1st Focus Home Care since May. My husband has dementia and I have one day a week that 1st Focus Homecare come to look after my husband. The carer we have is absolutely wonderful. She spends time with my husband doing jigsaw puzzles, taking him for walks, reading books with him and even dancing with him. When shehas been on a Monday he is always happy to see her and you feel comfortable leaving him with her knowing that she is dedicated in what she does. I would personally rate them 6 stars. The lady I deal with is the HR coordinator who from day one went through everything with you and explained everything thoroughly. The care plan was put in place and the carer introduced to my husband before I left. I found the HR coordinator extremely professional and caring and good at what she does and obviously tries to match the person to the carer. You can phone her anytime and run anything you are not sure of past her and she is only too happy to help you.

So far service has been extremely fluid and transparent with regards to what was proposed to be supplied and what we have been supplied. Great choice from management as to the carer we got based on the initial brief. That care is working out well and has been a seamless service thus far.

A carer visits my mum twice a week, who has dementia. She has been great as my mum hasn't had support at home before so was a little wary at first. She is lovely and bubbly, and my Mum gets on well with her. The whole process from meeting the manager, to discussing Mum's needs, for support starting was smooth and we talked through the whole process so knew what to expect.

Care for my Mum only started recently but I was impressed by how quickly 1st Focus Homecare managed to organise and put care in place. Mum is happy to have assistance when showering and the carer is happy to help out with things Mum needs help with.

Provide companionship support for my mother which consists of regular and frequent wheelchair outings. Care provider staff are extremely attentive and are caring and try to vary the places she goes to e.g. river walk, park, coffee shops etc. It is very important for Mother to get out and about as much as possible - whatever the weather!

We have been extremely pleased with the service provided by 1st Focus Homecare who have been providing care visits for Mum. Carers visit first thing in the morning and in the late afternoon and the visits have been instrumental in helping Mum regain her confidence after a series of falls. The carers make meals and do odd jobs around the house but also provide companionship and peace of mind for the family. We would highly recommend 1st Focus.

I have been very pleased with Homecare. They have been pleasant and helpful and I am happy with them. The helper has turned out to be very conscientious with her input being pleasant and helpful. The company has made life easier for me, since I really needed some time to myself and that has kept me sane. I am thankful I found them.

I am delighted with the service that 1st Focus Homecare are providing for my parents. Their proactive, friendly carers have quickly established a good relationship with my mum and dad. As an organisation, 1st Focus are professional and helpful. Their communication has been excellent and they have responded promptly when I have needed to get in touch with them. Receiving support from such a caring and reliable organisation has vastly improved my mum and dad's quality of life, making a difference for the whole family.

We are absolutely delighted with our carer - who is so kind and caring. She comes from the same part of the world as my husband so they always have something to talk about. I am also pleased with the response time to admin-related emails. We had intended to have 2 carers and she was also splendid. Having a carer once a week allows me to visit my mother in a care home without being concerned about leaving my husband for any amount of time - this is when he becomes uneasy and starts to wander off.

1st Focus Homecare have done a great job for Mum. They have managed to schedule her care to slots that work for her and whilst this does mean different carers on occasion it still works well. The carers make her feel at ease and take time to chat with her which is important at her age. Overall very happy and would recommend the team to others who are looking for home care.

My role, as power of attorney for one of my friends, has led me to seek out additional home care for her. Both she and I have been delighted with the service provided by 1st Focus Homecare. As an organisation, they have been very flexible, helpful and responsive to my friend's changing needs. The 1st Focus carers have been able to build up good relationships with my friend and have provided tremendous support over the last few months, which has made a very positive difference to my friend's quality of life.
