SHS were caring for my 93 year old Mum for over a year. She had 3 different Carers call in to her on a weekly basis. My mother can be difficult at times, but all Carers were so patient and kind to her and she truly liked all of them. They really did make a difference to her life in a positive way.
Everyone was punctual and any (rare) absenteeism was dealt with in a professional way and a substitute found immediately. Unfortunately my Mum had to go into a Care Home and I know how much she misses her Carers. I mainly dealt with Rachel and Tim in the office, who were always friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending SHS, they offer a reliable 5* service with super Carers.

Having had experience of two different types of care for our Dad (agency care at home & dementia care in a carehome) we had an idea of what we wanted for our Mum.
From the outset we felt supported and heard by Seniors helping seniors. It was not an easy time, but we had help navigating every step.
The understanding from owner Tim & care manager Hayley was exemplary. Hayley was the person we liaised with, starting with a home visit and then was our contact for timings, concerns and how they could very best support Mum during her changing health needs.
Hayley is so much more than a care manager. She is empathetic, very experienced & is so patient and kind.
Because of this, the carers she chose for Mum were also really right & we can't speak highly enough of them. The care never felt rushed. They gave really good support with attention to detail and practical suggestions. We felt they went out of their way to really understand our Mum, & the care was always given with care and compassion.

A friendly, flexible and thoughtful company who have my Mother's best interests in mind. Carers are chosen to match her needs and character, they are prompt, respectful and conscientious. A great company to deal with.

Seniors Helping Seniors provided invaluable support for my mother through a long period of her deteriorating dimentia, right to the very end of her life.
The staff were always kind, respectful, sensitive and intuitive to my mother's needs and she really enjoyed their visits. The support of having
twice daily visits allowed mum to remain independent in her own home for so much longer.
From the onset of meeting the care staff, the care and professionalism was fantastic. We received daily updates and the communication was superb.
This provided so much reassurance with my mother living over an hour away from myself. I felt really at ease to discuss my mother's care at length. SHS gave so much time, understanding and flexibility to any adjustments in care or new requirements.
I was also very touched by mum's carers attending her funeral service and the support following our great loss. I cannot thank SHS enough for their outstanding care and support.

Tim @ Seniors Helping Seniors has been an absolute star. For the last 6 months he has helped guide us through getting care in for mum, who has Alzheimers.
The service is professional but also very human with a capital H. The carers have all been super friendly and happy to help mum. Tim and his
team have always personaly introduced new carers to mum.
They respond very quickly to requests and also bring a level of flexibility that does not always exist in the care sector.
Carers have been found who can play games with mum, take her out if she needs and even talk a bit of Spanish and French with her.
A huge THANK YOU from myself and my family for all the ongoing help and advice.

I have been using Seniors Helping Seniors for 2 years now to support my mum, who has dementia. There is a small management team who I have got to know well and I feel that they genuinely know and care about both me and my mum. The communication is excellent - with emails for ongoing arrangements
backed up by a group chat for quick messages or updates. Most importantly, my mum is very comfortable with the carers who visit, with her main carer becoming a good friend who mum really looks forward to seeing. Unlike some other care providers, all the carers speak good English and are patient and supportive of my mum. The carers provide a range of support including taking her to medical appointments, helping her take her cats to the vet, taking her shopping or for coffee as well as helping her around the house. They also provide personal care visits. Over Christmas they also provided 3 days full cover while I was away, visiting to give her evening medication and checking on her general.

A neighbour recommended Seniors helping Seniors so I got in touch when I wanted to employ someone to keep my husband company while I went out for the afternoon. The arrangement worked well first time and continued for a couple of years usually with the same Carer. At holiday times there would be a
different person who came so I almost always got the cover I needed. So it gave me a sense of freedom.

Our user experience of SHS was very positive. The management team took trouble and care to understand my parents' needs and interests and match them to appropriate care staff. They were always professional, attentive, helpful and flexible and worked effectively to find cover whenever needed.
Whenever a new person was introduced someone would come to induct them.
The quality of carers was exceptional, always caring, engaging and people with whom my parents could have good intellectually stimulating conversations. I always felt my parents were safe and well looked after. The idea of seniors helping seniors really worked for my parents. They responded well to a more mature and experienced person who they could relate to. I was so grateful to the whole team, managers and carers for helping and supporting me through a very challenging time with my parents.

When my brother was given a diagnosis of dementia, things became very difficult as he lived on his own 160 miles from us, his only relatives. He did not need personal care, but could no longer cope with many everyday things such as letters/forms, bank cards and appointments etc. Knowing that there
was someone local who would help him was hugely reassuring. We found Seniors Helping Seniors to be very supportive & respectful of their client, and also flexible if the hours needed to be changed. My brother came to value the times he had coffee & a walk with his 'buddy' and the family WhatsApp group they created was great for communicating how he was & for us to share any specific needs for that week. Thank you so much for the care & attention you provided. I don't know how we could have managed without it.

I have been using the team to provide companions for my father and we are extremely happy with the service they provide. The companions are very warm and friendly and my father looks forward to their visits. I would recommend the team as a whole to anyone who requires companions for their elderly
relatives.

I first approached SHS for companion care for my parents at a time when they were very reluctant to recognise that they needed any help. As needs changed I found SHS to be very flexible. As my mother became more unwell I needed to think about my Dads needs moving forwards. SHS introduced me to a
lovely lady who I just knew would be perfect for my Dad with Alzheimers
We had several visits a week from the same lovely lady over a couple of years mostly cooking a hot meal and engaging with Dad. I always found her to be reliable and felt she genuinely cared for Dads welfare as well as being empathetic to me. In addition I knew if there were any concerns she would let me know. Without her I'm not sure we'd have managed to keep Dad at home for as long as we did on his own
In addition SHS is run very efficiently and any queries (of which there were very few) were handled in a timely and satisfactory manner

The approach of SHS is really person centred and even the application process was reassuring and uncomplicated. All staff are personable and the carers a great help. We really enjoy seeing some of them - as we would a friend.

Seniors Helping Seniors have been a huge support to my parents over the last 18 months. The communication with them and with us has been effective and efficent, and the approach to delivering services very flexible. Very happy to recommend them to others.

My brother, sister and I are all very pleased with the help we have for our 93 year old mother. We have two hours a week which is part companionship and part gardening. Despite the fact that my mother has moved from her house into a care home a couple of months back we asked for the support to
continue to make the settling into the home an easier transition. The team behind the individual carer are always available to tweak the service as necessary.

I had Seniors for Seniors when I was caring for my mum to enable me to have a little time for myself starting around 2022 until she died end of 2024. The carers were excellent caring kind and nothing was to much trouble. Not only did they care for my mum with dignity they had time for me too,
making sure that I was okay and getting enough support.
17 June 2025
Always very helpful girls and supportive. They have helped me since a knee replacement February 2024 and again in 2025 for further surgery. A delight to have very competent and cheerful help.
Once a week has been just enough to help me cope over the last year.

Seniors Helping Seniors provided some fantastic support for my mother over more than two years, until her care needs increased and she moved into full time residential care. They were flexible, stepping in to respond to specific requests such as visits to the hairdresser and dentist and helping to
increase the frequency of visits as her care needs changed. They were easy to communicate with and responsive thanks to a group that was constantly monitored. And (most important of all) they had a great team of carers who often went above and beyond to make sure that my mother was well cared for. She has even had visits from some of them at her new care home.

Seniors Helping Seniors have been great, My mum gets on with her carers really well and looks forward to their regular visits. It has really helped my mum and us as a family to have the regular support from the carers from Seniors Helping Seniors. Over time we have increased the number of care
visits to be 5 days a week and the team have made it easy to make these changes. highly recommended

I am hugely grateful for the wonderful support which our family has received from Seniors Helping Seniors.
We needed urgent support for Mum back in February - and were very impressed with the speedy response from Seniors. In less than a week from initial contact, Mum and I had been introduced to
her new carer, an exceptional person who has provided kind support for the last 5 months.
I am also impressed by the prompt and positive responses I have had to minor queries which have cropped up along the way. Without exception, each member of the team has been knowledgeable about my Mum's situation, and readily able to respond to queries. I am so glad we found Seniors - and strongly recommend them to anyone seeking high quality care for their loved one.

We were recommended to Seniors helping Seniors about eighteen months ago, their service has been fantastic.
All the helpers they use each week are brilliant, my parents are super happy to know they have support and the helpers have become friends to my parents. They have been super flexible with
scheduling. If my parents need more help they can coordinate, flexible too if they need to reschedule and are always available to help with appointments. They also keep in contact with the family keeping them updated when 'situations' arise.
My brothers are I are not close by; in fact two of us live in the United States. We had a situation with my mother who needed to be admitted to hospital late at night. Seniors made sure my father was looked after, one of their team was with my mother until she was admitted. Cannot say enough about this team, they are without doubt the best and kindest people we could hope for to help with my parents needs.
