View Full Details of My Homecare West SussexI initially had Kindred Hearts Home Care Ltd from 3rd December 2024 for my Fortnightly Outreach a Carer takes me out in my NHS Prescribed Manuel Wheelchair in their Cars. On the 7th October my full Care Package move to Kindred I have 4 Personal care visits Monday to Friday & 3 visits at a Weekends. The level of support is if the highest standard I lived in the Village of Kirdford West Sussex then Chichester in mainstream housing from 6th October 2016 moved into Supported housing Scheme Leggyfield Court overall Freehold ownership Saxon Weald extra Care Housing Schemes. Unequivocally Kindred Hearts Home Care Ltd has the outstanding Performance of any Care Provider since I moved to West Sussex on 20th October 2003!
The carers coming are polite and friendly, however I feel that from the following experience that there is a lack of training support for their job roles. 1. The time they spend is very short, sometimes 10 minutes, this does not allow for application of care values. 2. The carers often do not know their job role responsibilities and do not have appropriate training, no inductions in progress. 3. There are no supervisory assessments to help train the staff, indicates where they are going wrong. The staff in my opinion need support.
Working with the staff from My Homecare has been an excellent experience. I have found all the staff to work at a very high level of professionalism. The company has been very accommodating for my complex needs. All staff are highly trained and treat me with kindness and dignity.
Very happy with carers. Always polite.
My care experience has greatly improved in the past 6-12 months. Supervisory staff now listen to my needs, carers are now regular which is far better for my needs. Attitude of my care staff has also improved.
I was worried when I first realised my husband would need carers but the care he has received since the visits from "kind hearts" has been wonderful they have all treated him with care and respect and he looks forward to his morning visits and my life has improved with this care too.
The care provider now provides an excellent service. The four star rating reflects only that the initial provision had some issues that have now been fully resolved. We would not want anyone else looking after my mother now
We are very happy with the staff at My Homecare. The reason for this is - - good carers - consistency same carers important - treat with dignity and respect - know their job well - keep us updated with any health changes they find - keep pressure sores at bay through efficient care - liaise with nurses and other professionals - good humour and communication - easy to contact, will change times and dates if needed.
Overall the care is satisfactory. A lot of the time prompting by myself is needed. Not sure if I wasn't around to see and check things are being done whether the care would be the same level.
Everything excellent. Amazing service. Would recommend.
The service Homecare give is of a high standard the ladies are all very kind and friendly regardless of the tasks they do I am very please with the care given.
What can I say such caring, helpfull & cheerful guys cannot do enough to brighten up his day they do a wonderful job in the situation would not be able to cope without them.
The care aspects are excellent and a bit easier for all concerned with the recent installation of the hoists. Perhaps the other aspects of the help could be improved. Sometimes the washing machine has not been emptied. As regards shopping, more attention is required to prevent over buying of things like cheddar biscuits or black pepper. If my mother is making a list, can the carers please check that list against items in the kitchen to see if they are required. I was phoned by my mother who advised me that she was told by the carers that she had run out of ready meals when in fact she hadn't. They were in the kitchen freezer drawer but were covered over by other items.
We have been with My Homecare for one year. In that time, we found that the care very good. We have built up a good relationship with most of the carers and on most occasions make my life easier even in my darkest moments. Most times they arrive on time. One thing, I will say sometimes the care is rushed, especially the evening call which I can understand. Some carers do seem comfortable using the hoist. Wondering if they are trained to use it. Otherwise, we are pleased with the way My Homecare are looking after us. For that, I'm so grateful. Thank you.
The care given to my father by My Homecare could not have been better. He had end of life care at home from May 2024 until his death recently. The carers were very respectful, the same few carers came all the time so got to know my father well. The manager was approachable and dealt with requests to step up the level of care within 24hrs. The carers always made an effort to connect with my mother or any other members of the family who were present. We thank them all for making his last months as peaceful as possible.
My Home Care have done wonders with my son. They have taken the time to get to know him and the family. This is the first time my son has allowed carers to support him at home. The carers are always chatting with him and the laughter that I hear during the visit is amazing.
When first meeting staff from this company I was promised many things, not a thing has happened. The staff, every call, undercut the allotted time by 15 to 20 minutes every call. The staff are lazy and spend much time on their phones. The staff refuse to read a box and prepare a meal correctly meaning meals go uneaten. In the months we've had them they have overdosed my gran on medication more than once. I am 200 miles away. I have always done the shopping Friday to be delivered Monday. They also need to give me meter readings and refuse to do so. Currently my gran has little food or toilet paper and the office are letting her go without. How is that ever okay? Again I'm 200 miles away with no support in the area, I cannot see some things. My gran finds it hard to understand the staff and they have very little interest in the client. My gran's health, wellbeing and mobility has gone down since using this lot. Proceed with caution and have cameras installed if you are entrusting your vulnerable oldies to this company.
All staff are fantastic and couldn't do enough to help you. The best carers I have experienced in the last 10 years, excellent service.
Very satisfactory with all staff have really helped in every aspect of my life.
